Ava's Ice Cream and Water Ice is a family-owned and operated ice cream shop serving the best ice cream and water ice in Collegeville. We are proud to offer a family-friendly, fun, and welcoming atmosphere for everyone to enjoy an array of frozen treats. At Ava's, we treat our customers like family and love seeing our guests enjoying their homemade treats.
Services
Since our primary focus is creating and serving up delicious ice cream and water ice flavors, you might be wondering if all our products are made with dairy. Luckily, we do carry vegan ice cream! We also offer a sugar-free butter pecan ice cream as well. However, our homemade ice cream is all made using the same equipment.

Great ice cream but don’t park under the walnut trees in a wind storm… trust me.

Convenient location in downtown Basking Ridge and ice cream was good but limited in selection of flavors. Some more exotic flavors would have made it 5*.

The ice cream at this place satisfied the vanilla ice cream savage inside of me. Just when I thought I had a handle on my summer figure I made a mistake and polished off a whole quart of vanilla ice cream by myself. You could literally taste the vanilla in this ice cream. I’m a simple lady and while my family enjoys the variety of flavors . I truly taste the passion Avas out into making their ice cream. I will never visit another shop. If they continue to serve homemade goodness like this. Whenever I go I feel so special like “everybody knows my name and their always glad I came” . Thank

I ordered online and within 15 minutes (before my order was expected to be ready), an employee brought out my order. The employee was very courteous and wore all the necessary PPE during this time. I had cookie d'oreo in a kiddie cup. it was delicious, and I will absolutely be returning! I also purchased a small chocolate for my mom who said it was delicious as well. Can't wait to try the cake batter and coconut chunk flavors!

Cute spot with outdoor seating area. Not a fan of the product/value - lime italian ice was really not good. Portion on my daughter's medium cone was terrible. Hot fudge was chunky and broken.

I went here one evening because it was open a little later, and got a little chocolate ice cream. My partner got coffee ice cream. The prices were alright for the portions received, but we both agreed the ice cream wasn't the best we've had. The coffee ice cream tasted watered down, and while the chocolate was tasty, there wasn't much to write home about. The aesthetic of the shop is cute and colorful, and it doesn't seem like they're trying to be anything more than what they are - a corner ice cream shop. But I wouldn't recommend it when there are better options available close by.

Spotted this place on the way back from eating in the Collegeville area. It is in an unassuming location but I was very pleased with my visit, and very happy that I stopped in. I had the homemade Holy Cannoli ice cream-- I love cannolis and was so happy when the ice cream tasted just like delicious frozen cannoli filling with cannoli shell chips and chocolate chips inside.
Service was great and the couple working were very friendly. The inside is decorated with lots of cheerful pet decor which I enjoyed.
Definitely worth a stop in!
I was very happy with my dessert and am excited to come back

Creamy, tasty ice cream tucked in Henry Street under a huge tree! We had a Cherry Vanilla and Shrek (aka mint ice cream). A school playground in its backyard for playing off the sugar! What’s not to love?

Dear Ava's Management, my experience at your store Sunday September 24 @ 6:30 pm was extremely disappointing. There were only 6 flavors of hard ice cream to choose from. 2 of which were empty. After a difficult decision to choose a flavor my youngest son's ice cream fell out of the cone in only 2 licks. The young lady behind the counter replaced it immediately without fuss which was nice. My oldest son ordered his ice cream and walked outside while I ordered a float. The lady informed me that the machine was broken. Yet floats are still advertised. I then paid and proceeded to walk outside only
