Dr. Jason Edwards grew up in Kansas City, graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry, and completed a one year General Practice Residency at Truman Medical Centers. He practiced dentistry in Wichita, Kansas for five years while his wife completed her family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship.
He has experience performing a variety of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, veneers, root canals, implants, and more. Dr. Edwards is passionate about taking continuing education courses in order to expand his knowledge and hone techniques that will lead to improved treatment outcomes for patients.

The entire staff is so welcoming and so professional. From calling to book an appointment, checking in, teeth cleaning for the whole family- our hygienist remembers little things about the kids and makes them feel more comfortable. Dr Edwards is so great with the kids during procedures and always has their best interest. 10/10 🤩.

I love this place! I have been going here for years. I am terrified of the dentist and they make me comfortable and listen to me. Cris does an amazing job and has become a friend over the years. Dr.Kelley is more than just a doctor checking the box, he is welcoming and treats his patients like friends. I’m glad he decided not to retire yet! 😊

At my last dentist office, I could tell my teeth weren't getting cleaned well. They were rushing my cleaning, probably so that they could squeeze in as many patients as possible. So I decided to try out Wakarusa Family Dental. Now after each visit, my teeth have that wonderful smooth feeling again. And everyone is really nice.

I always have a positive experience at this office, Dr. Edwards is very kind and explains everything so well! Dyana is my hygienist and I really look forward to seeing her every 6 months. Wakarusa Family Dental is amazing! I went to them because I'd heard good things about them being kind/gentle to people with a fear of dental work, and that was so true. The hygienist noticed my nervous body language just sitting in the waiting room and made sure to ask me if I was OK and how she could help me be comfortable. There was no shaming for not having been to the dentist in a few years while I had not had dental insurance. I’ve been going to this office for years and I love them! They are friendly, thorough, efficient and honest. I don’t question when the dentist says I need something (or I don’t). My previous dentist (years ago) would tell me I needed something every single time and it was a money thing. Not Wakarusa Dental!! Cris is my hygienist and she is wonderful! Great front desk staff and Lori the office manager is great as well. Couldn’t be happier and highly recommend!

I have been going to Wakarusa Fanily Dental for years! Leah is my hygienist and she is professional and welcoming every time I come in! I am even able to bring my two kiddos in a pinch and it seems that everyone in the office is helpful and happy to see us! Going to the dentist has never been fun for me, but I do love this office and they have definitely changed my outlook on my visits! I have a great experience every time!
