The hearing evaluation, or hearing test, is the foundation upon which a comprehensive assessment of a patient's hearing profile is compiled. The evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is present and, if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.

It also may provide insight into the cause of the hearing loss as well as provide guidance for the audiologist in making appropriate treatment recommendations or referrals to other medical professionals if necessary. However, the hearing evaluation does not correlate well with a particular patient's difficulty in everyday listening situations.
The hearing evaluation, or hearing test, is the foundation upon which a comprehensive assessment of a patient's hearing profile is compiled. Our communication evaluation emphasizes solutions based on a patient's lifestyle and unique communication needs.

Going beyond the standard tone-based hearing evaluation, both objective tests such as speech-in-noise (SIN) and Acceptable Noise Level (ANL) and self-assessment measures such as the Characteristics of Amplification Tool (COAT), Abbreviated Profile of Hearing Aid Benefit (APHAB), Expected Consequences of Hearing Aid Ownership (ECHO), and Client Oriented Scale of Improvement (COSI) are utilized to evaluate a patient's communication difficulties and set communication goals.
Live speech mapping is a hearing aid verification method that is used to ensure that your hearing aids are programmed to set of independently researched "targets." These targets are developed to give the wearer maximum benefit at a variety of sound levels.

Small microphones are placed in the ear canal and used to measure the response of the hearing aid in your ear taking into account the natural and individual characteristics of both your ear and your hearing profile.Live speech mapping is the only way to accurately verify how a modern hearing aid is working inside any individual patient's ear canal.

Hearye hearye...I heartedly endorse Dr. Bradley Davis, the sole proprietor of Medical Hearing Associates in Little Rock AR. My wife and I recently received hearing instruments (aids) from his practice. We have never experienced the level of quality and professionalism that he offers each and every client. He handles every aspect from scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, initial hearing tests and fittings, and follow up appointments, always explaining each step, providing options, and making 100% sure that we are totally satisfied with his service and the hearing instruments. Dr. Davis reprogrammed my 4-year-old hearing aids, and even though I purchased them elsewhere, he made them work well. He’s an excellent doctor and I’ll definitely purchase my next pair of hearing aids from him. He’s very knowledgeable and has a pleasant demeanor.

We took a pair of hearing aids(Starkey CROS i200) models that we purchased used on EBay..like new. Dr Davis inspected, programmed & fit the aids into my wife’s ears. She hasn’t heard out of one in 35 years. He fine tuned them to her ears after testing her hearing thoroughly, with his very state of the art equipment. His office is a small house that he wonderfully transformed into his office. We are very impressed by such a kind, caring man who wasn’t trying to push us out the door in a hurry. He doesn’t try to sell you any products. An excellent audiologist in this day of age. Perfect!

Dr. Davis is such an excellent clinician. As an Audiology student, I was able to train under him and see how well he treats/cares for his patients. Dr. Davis 100% puts his patients first, and it was such a pleasure being able to learn from him. He is so willing to help patients in whatever way possible, and I hope to one day be as compassionate, patient, and understanding with my patients as he is with his.

As a former student of Dr. Davis, I can’t begin to say how much I learned from him! He creates a very comfortable and welcoming environment for patients which is great as a student to get the opportunity to see. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Dr. Davis is, both as a clinician and as a person.

Dr. Davis is both kind and knowledgeable. When my hearing aid (which I purchased in another state) stopped working recently, he fixed it quickly and then showed me how to take care of similar problems in the future. He is very easy to talk to, and no pressure. I am recommending him to family members who are having trouble with their hearing.
