Jing Chuan Chinese Restaurant
Jing Chuan opened its doors in 1985, but the real story begins in 1960s where Shanteh and Peiying Sun owned restaurants in Korea and Taiwan. The couple was flourishing in their wildly successful business, but ultimately decided to venture to the Americas seeking better opportunities for their children.

Landing in Toledo, Ohio, bringing only their skills and experience, Jing Chuan Restaurant was born. 33 years and three generations later, we have proudly served NW Ohio and SE Michigan since. Jing Chuan is a Chinese restaurant with one basic concept in mind-making delicious food from scratch with only the freshest ingredients, everyday.

I’m sure they make some good dishes, but I highly recommend not ordering the almond chicken. It doesn’t resemble almond chicken except that they throw almonds in it. The chicken fried rice was okay. We got pot stickers as well and they weren’t anything special. This place is pretty expensive.

The food is excellent and the servers and owners are very friendly. They want you to have a great experience. I always get hunan chicken and even though it isn't on the menu they are happy to make it. Crispy chicken, perfectly cooked veggies with enough crunch yet not raw and enough spice that I get it, but it doesn't get me! My husband gets hunan precious because he likes the variety of protein. Lunch also comes with two crunchy fried wings and egg drop soup - A great value for the price. Don't forget to order a spring roll! So crispy and light with plenty of filling. Yummy!

It's my favorite place for Chinese traditional dishes, truly a cut about your local Chinese take-out places. Love the soup choices, especially the hot and sour 😋 best In Toledo hands down

10/10 will be coming back! The food was absolutely astounding, quite frankly some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. Not to mention how amazing the service was. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, I believe her name was Grace. We were then seated at a clean and comfortable table. Our server was so friendly and attentive, some of the best staffing i have seen since restaurants have been reopening because of covid. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have a good time and a quality meal.

Toni and I love the food at Jing Chuan and eat there often, even though it's about a 30 minute drive to get there from our house. The food is well worth the drive.

Okay! I have eaten here more times than I can count. I've made at least 30 different orders from this location and each time I'm not disappointed. Their fried rice and egg rolls are the best. They may have a lot of other food here, but my wife and I absolutely adore the fried rice and the spring rolls. Arguably, I would say this is some of the best fried rice in the city of toledo. I recommend anyone to come in here and give them a shot, the atmosphere within the building for dining is great and the takeout experience is simple and expedient.

One of the few old school Chinese restaurants in Toledo. Still outperforming the newer ones after all these years.
If you can get there for lunch it is definitely your best value. All lunches include the most delicious egg drop soup; like no other I've ever had, a light broth with such umami and two chicken wings. Servings are very ample; enough for take home. Some of my favorite entrees include walnut chicken, tofu with vegetables and Mongolian stars. All here full of fresh vegetables and delicious. Don't forget to order a spring roll and scallion pancakes are amazing.

The food was great. My favorite Hot and Sour soup (when they say feeds 2-3, they mean it). I had the Dry Braised Beef - quite yummy. My husband had the Orange Beef - a different flavor than he's use to but still good.

First time here never been here before on a Thursday night very busy energetic restaurant with a lot of patrons enjoying their dinner. Service was very slow but that's to be expected because most places are short-staffed The Wonton soup that we received was very good the hot tea that I got was the absolutely delicious and the other food that other people in my party ordered was very good the only thing I can complain was the service was dreadfully slow and the food that I got was burnt and wasn't very good and the flavor didn't taste very good for my preferences and taste also I thought the prices

I have been a frequent customer to Jing Chuan since I was younger. After tonight NOT ANYMORE. Absolutely disgusting as I found at least 30 gnats between my husbands and I's food AFTER we were done eating. Who… knows how many we ate before! Clearly there is an issue in the kitchen with cleanliness and food safety. I do not recommend!!!

This restaurant came highly recommended, and for the life of me I DO NOT KNOW WHY!

We ordered take out, 2 soups & 4 entrees, $64.20 of the most UNAPPEALING Chinese food ever! First, the hot & sour soup was watery and bland. The Hunan beef which states it is "crispy beef" was all breading and absolutely dry and with no "tangy wine garlic sauce". Under the "Chef's Special", the General Tso Chicken was minus the traditional thick sweet & spicy sauce. It was sour, bitter and made my face cringe. Absolutely nothing "special" about it! The

Many years ago this restaurant was the best Chinese food around. Now not so much. It was less than mediocre. The chicken fried rice had zero flavor and almost no chicken. The Mongolian stars was mostly onions and all I could taste was garlic after eating it. The wonton soup was just ok. Sweet and sour chicken was soggy but being takeout can't expect much more. Sadly won't be going back.

First time dining here as a recommendation from a friend. Customer service is 5 stars. Safety protocols followed for safe, indoor dining experience.
4 stars here for overall rating on food. We tried the Jing Chuan special dinner for 3. This included sizzling rice soup, fried dumpling appetizer, and 3 dishes (kung pao chicken, Jing Chuan shrimp, and sizzling beef with vegetables) plus steamed rice.
Flavors of the dishes were pretty good, although in a few dishes, the sauce was a lot and watery. The dumplings were just ok. A bit oily, filling was not much; perhaps just different from other places

While looking for some soul and comfort food to overcome the cold weather... found this place while yelping... yes, I drove an hour to give this place a try.

I stopped by around 2pm on a Sunday and the parking lot was full! Walked in, said table for one and the hostess picked up the American menu and started to lead me to the table... before we left, I asked for the Asian menu (yes, most places have separate Asian Menu, always ask). The hostess stopped, grabbed the Asian menu and I got seated. They gave me the booth seating, which I would not recommend if you are big and tall.... it's hard

Could not stay away! After the recent remodel we decided to give them another try.
The service has been great, the staff is very professional and well trained.
The food has improved, portions and quality are back to where they used to be or even better.
The remodel really refreshed the restaurant. It has a more modern feel but if you blindfolded someone who has not been there in 10 years they would still recognize it.
we have been back about once a month and have no complaints.
p.s. we have not seen a single fly! :-)

This is literally my favorite restaurant in Toledo! I've been coming here since I was introduced to this place when I was 13 and that was 17 years ago!

The food is amazing (make sure to get the Szechuan Chicken with extra sauce and extra spicy if you can handle it) and the service is good as well. The girls up front are very personable and caring. This is especially true once they get to know you by name. If you want really good authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go.

This place has really really gone downhill or I have better taste buds since leaving Toledo - I was here recently and this is my recent order
1. Twice cooked pork- it was pork belly and mostly fat (gross) it was cooked with soy sauce and super salty- I threw it away
2. Szechuan tofu- mostly chili oil - greasy and nothing special
3. Szechuan Eggplant - please see above
4. General Tso chicken- too much batter and the sauce leaves something to be desired
5. Mongolian Beef- this was probably the best of all of them but it was still lacking- the sauce was nothing special- just soy and sugar I
