First, turn off your air conditioner to prevent any more water damage. The drain needs to be unclogged before you bring your air conditioner back online. If you need help clearing the line, please call Air Star so we can dispatch an experienced technician to take care of the problem for you. The first thing to do is turn it off.
Anyone with allergies or asthma will tell you breathing is already a challenge here in San Antonio, without the addition of indoor air quality issues. There are several common problem areas we'll review with you. High humidity (57% or higher) in dark areas is conducive to mold growth. Let's check your system for proper airflow and operation within manufacturer's parameters.
Do you have rooms that are hotter or colder than they should be? How about dirt around your registers or shuttering noises from your filter when your unit kicks on? Whether due to a design deficiency or damaged or aging ductwork, these are all symptoms that could lead to bigger problems with your system.

We reached out to David for a 2nd opinion after getting a quote for a $3600 repair on our a/c unit which is only 6 years old. David arrived 30 minutes after we called and kindly walked us through his process of evaluating our unit step by step. It turns out the previous company was definitely trying to take advantage of us, because David did not find any evidence of that type of repair being needed. I have had great service with Air Star. They have maintained my Goodman A/C since I bought my new home and have no complaints. Also, They installed a new system in my New Braunfels home and it was well installed but the evaporator failed before its 10 year warranty was completed and they honored the warranty with replacement of the ruptured coil with a only small charge for installation.

I highly recommend Air Star Heating and Air Conditioning, especially during the Covid19 pandemic. Mr. David Munos came to my home expediently with his mask and gloves on. He practiced social distancing during his entire investigation of my A/C unit and attic. All my questions and concerns were addressed. He quickly worked up and emailed me a fair and affordable A/C replacement estimate for me to consider.
