Owner, Gerry Owen, has always loved coordinating events for her close friends and family. After earning her graduate degree, Gerry began her career in event planning and coordination. She accepted a position as the catering manager at Tournament Players Club at Valencia. It was here that Gerry was able to work closely with award winning Chef Daniel Otto along with an exceptional staff to create spectacular events, often totaling up to 250 guests.

I have know Gerry for a very long time and all I can say is if you want the best of the best - use Gerry of Galas by Gerry! She is very organized, calm, detailed oriented, professional and just an all around great person! We had a college graduation party for two of my kids and she worked wonders with our budget! You will have no stress or worries leading up to the event and including the day of. Will definitely use Gerry again!

I feel so lucky to have been introduced to Gerry years ago and have since worked with her on corporate meetings, entertainment industry events and even my own wedding and can honestly say that there is no one out there that is as DETAILED, CREATIVE, PASSIONATE, DEDICATED and all-around enjoyable to work with as Gerry!

Look no further, Gerry is the best! She's organized, efficient, intelligent and calm during a chaotic time. She was by far the best person we hired for our wedding team. My husband and I wanted to do something creative for our baby announcement but couldn't think of what to do exactly. I wasn't even sure if Gerry coordinated a shoot like this I just knew she was an amazing event, party and wedding planner extraordinaire. As soon as I asked her she already had a ton of ideas! We had so much fun doing this shoot and she helped me book my photographer, hair & makeup artist in addition to creative directing the shoot. Gerry was an absolute DREAM. She was the planner at my wedding- and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Having had our wedding at Saddlerock in Malibu, CA... it meant bringing everything in, including building out a kitchen. I've had the pleasure of working with Gerry and her staff at a recent wedding out in Malibu, CA. She did a wonderful job in putting a stunning wedding together. When I arrived, I asked where was my setup location, she personally walked me over to my area. Throughout the reception, she made sure speech givers were aware and ready to go. It is going to be so hard to put into words how amazing this woman it is, but I am certainly going to try! We just got married at Rancho San Antonio in Santa Ynez, and had the most PERFECT day, which could not have happened without Gerry. She was available to us whenever we had questions while planning, and met with us throughout the process to organize our special day.
When the weekend finally came, she worked from morning to night both Friday preparing and setting up with us, and Saturday making sure every single thing was perfect. I left all of my decor and signs and boxes of set up items

We got married in Joshua Tree at the 29 Palms Inn a few weeks ago and we couldn't have pulled it off without Gerry. We started working with Gerry for partial wedding coordinating and she made the process peaceful and efficient. She's a joy to work with and has the sweetest and kindest energy.

I attended the most memorable and epic bridal shower put on by Gerry (not for me but for one of my best friends) it was insane perfection! she thoughtfully comes up with a theme but it's classy, not cheesy. this theme was mexican and she made it elegant (i know right?) it was very anthroplogie meets princess's hacienda. she just has that eye for style, what's on trend (but still able to keep it timeless), and her contacts in LA run deep, so she has the best hookups! (good sign of a good event planner

Gerry is the absolute best! She was my day of coordinator for my wedding in August 2013. She went above and beyond my expectations! We picked a venue that you literally had to bring everything to. Aside from marrying each other on our wedding day, securing Gerry as the event planner was the best decision we made. Gerry kept us sane when the vendors drove us crazy, took our decor from cute to gorgeous, and thought of every last detail to make our wedding day run like a dream. Gerry dedicated herself to planning, and made us feel like our wedding day was not just a job to her. Bottom line? Gerry is the event planner you want by your side for a beautiful, stress-free party of any kind.
