Natural Stone Countertops One of the main reasons why many homeowners choose natural stone countertops is because every slab is different, which results in a unique finished product. Of course, the benefits extend beyond aesthetics.
Soapstone A natural stone frequently used for countertops in “farmhouse” or “industrial chic” designs, soapstone is a nonporous natural stone. It is impervious to chemicals and was frequently used in laboratories and scientific classrooms. While extremely dense, it is a softer stone that tends to scratch and dent.

We found a beautiful piece of granite here that we didn't find at other local granite stores. The owner, Beverly, was super helpful and knowledgeable. At installation, one piece was a bit short, but the shop was fabricating another piece in minutes and worked late so we had it first thing the next day. They did a great job and we're super happy with the results! I plan to use them again when we get new bathroom vanities. Thank you, Beverly and Team!

Best experience ever! We have shopped far and wide for just the right kitchen countertops, only to be disappointed every time. Finally, we stopped in at Granite of the Smokies, less than 5 miles from our home! From the moment we walked in until our countertop installation, Beverly was outstanding. Great customer service is hard to find, but wow, did she come through. Beverly handled my project with the same care and attention she would her own kitchen.

In fact, everyone there is amazing. Jason installed a gorgeous vanity top for one of our bathrooms and even offered to repair etching on countertops purchased from a different company. Johnny and Matthew were absolutely terrific! All of these guys are excellent at their craft. It was such a delight to work with everyone at Granite of the Smokies and I could not be happier with my new countertops.

We had quartz countertops installed in our bathrooms by a different contractor. They were beautiful but we were never able to get the original folks to repair a small nick in one and a foot-and-a-half gouge in the other. Beverly sent Jason out to see if they could fix these and they had a crew come out today to complete the repair. In retrospect, we should have gone with them to begin with.
