Dealing with contractors can be a difficult, and on the list of contractors, roofer must be right up there with the most unreliable, most difficult to work with. When asking for roofers it seemed that every recommendation came with some caveat. "They are good, but." Thankfully for me I found Big Al's Roofing. Dealing with them could not have been easier.
Their prices were fair, quality of work was great and I never had to chase them. Bottom line.they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. And as simple as that sounds, I find it's a rare trait these days among contractors. If you are looking for a reliable, fair priced roofer that stands behind what they say I would recommend Big Al's. I personally wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

My husband and I were on a mission to find a roofing company that was self contractors, efficient, well-established, highly skilled, punctual, knowledgeable, and responsive. We researched and interviewed many companies but were not satisfied. We started reading through Blogs and found several people that used Big Al. Big Al' caught our attention because we found what we were looking for in a roofing company and noticed how humble, kind, transparent, and generous Big Al' the owner is.

Super Amazing! I called for an estimate. Not only was prompt to come out, but friendly and explained everything. Talked to me about options, and even gave me all of the tile pamphlets of options along with the estimate (no one else did that). One of the best prices, and came with higher included wood replacements and lower lumber charges. Once we signed up, communication was constant, with prompt response.
When it came to do the week, a lot of workers showed up. They were fast and friendly (especially when my 3 year twins were running outside the house). Job was promptly done, permits/inspections all passed right away, and job looks great. I have already referred them to coworkers. Thanks Big Al's.

It went smooth. Price was competitive and communication was always there via email (which is very important to me). The tile I chose took a couple months to be available (not his fault, tile company has a leeway of about that much), but once the date was established, work started promptly and finished quickly. About 2 weeks total. Cleanup was handled professionally and my new roof looks great!

The Big Al's Experience is real! My wife and I were in the process of purchasing a home in Palmetto Bay and during inspections discovered we were dealing with a roof that was close to 30 years old. I saw Big Al's sign on another project and decided to give him a call. Prior to signing any contract or providing a deposit, Big Al starting working with us.
From the beginning, Big Al was straight forward on time frames depending on the type of roof we were going to install. He provided us with multiple quotes for different roofing types. Al was very patient with us during our decision process and provided us with multiple samples of concrete tile, shingles and metal. We ultimately decided to go slightly unconventional with a shingle/metal combo. Al didn't hesitate with our choice and was excited about doing a project that he had never done before.
Prior to demolition and installation, Al outlined his process and reassured us that our property would be protected and the site would be kept cleaned at the end of each day. Big Al delivered! When Big Al's crew arrived they came ready to work. In one day they removed the existing roof, repaired any rotten wood, installed new ventilation stacks, tar paper and flashing.
Basically the roof was water tight and ready for shingles. After inspections, the crew arrived again to complete the shingles and metal portions of the roof. From start to finish our roof (5,500 SF) was completed in less than seven working days! Big Al delivered! Installing a roof is a big expense and knowing there is a roofing contractor in Miami who delivers on what he is selling is a huge relief. We continue to receive compliments from the neighbors on how nice the roof looks which is a reflection of Big Al's work. Thanks again Al for the "Big Al's Experience"
