We redid our entire backyard. It was a mess with an old chain link fence with trees grown into it, poor drainage, dead grass, and buckthorn trees everywhere. The cleaned out the entire yard, graded it, put down sod, drainage, and landscaping and a new fence. It looks amazing! They are very professional and the owners were always checking on the project through out every step and checking in with me.

In summer 2021, we used Raul's team from R&G Almanza Landscape, Inc. to create a new paver patio and re-sod part of our backyard. They also filled in pavers on our existing patio and dug a trench for new electrical lines. They did a beautiful job! In spring 2022, R&G Almanza built us a gorgeous, cedar fence (slat by slat). Raul was very professional and easy to work with. The work is impeccable. We will use them for all future work in our yard. 5 stars!

Raul and his crew replaced the overgrown hedges in front of our house, planted new trees and shrubs, pruned two large trees, and shaped the very tall hedges on either side of our yard. They also re-seeded our lawn where the previous owners had let the grass die out. They came when they said they would be there and worked diligently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend R&G Almanza to anyone.

The crew from R & G Almanza Landscape were amazing! They arrived on time and cleaned up as they went along with the process of removing old trees and planting 10 new, 6 feet tall arborvitaes. They also answered all of my questions and gave me tips on how to care for the trees to ensure their success. I highly recommend R & G Almanza Landscape!

We had a great experience working with the R&G Almanza Landscaping team! Our home had a weed infested front and back yard. Lots of dead spots. They came with a very reasonable quote to remove the grass/weeds and install new sod in the front and back yard. The outside of our home now looks awesome and we'd DEFINITELY RECOMMEND R&G Almanza for your landscaping needs!

Almanza removed sections of old fence and installed a total of about 100 ft of custom cedar fence with gates: 80 ft with vertical lattice to replace previous side and rear perimeter fences and 20 ft of shorter 4ft tall fence between a detached garage and the house along the driveway. The 6ft tall fence with a top lattice was not cheap, but it exceeded our expectations in its high quality---the edges are planed and the lattice rods are solid 1" square cross-section and embedded in a routed out center of the top rail--made like solid wood furniture, not like the more typical flat lattice.

They also installed a retaining wall at the rear of the property where our backyard is about 8" higher than the alley, and they poured a concrete pad off the alley for our garbage cans. We appreciated that they listened carefully to our non-standard needs for fences that were not simply straight sections and they checked with us for each detail of the project to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it. Raul Sr or Raul Jr or both were usually on site to make sure that the work was done correctly, and they had enough workers on the job that the work was done pretty quickly once the job was started.

One example of attention to detail concerns the ends of the fences at building walls where posts could not be installed, so the fences attach to 2"x4"s rather than 4"x4" posts. The nice detail is that that the ends of the 2"x4"s were still capped by half caps to match the caps on the posts. Their response to my initial email to schedule an estimate was a little slow, but we are glad that we waited until we heard back instead of just going with another company with a faster initial response. We are very glad that we hired R&G Almanza for our fence project because we got just what we wanted and the fence is actually better than we expected.

We highly recommend R & G. They tore down the old fence, dug up dead trees and built a new fence in our back. The fence looks great. They were responsive when we realized we wanted more grading of parts of the land near the fence. Days later, separate dead trees cut a power line and they quickly responded to our request to cut those down. Looking forward to continuing to call on them for help.

Our experience with R&G Almanza Landscape Inc., was exceptional. We've had several neighbors comment on how beautiful it looks and made several inquiries to the professional outcome. We've were pleased with the work and the end result. R&G provided us with choices and made the entire process seamless.

So great! They were so fast and so cheap! Our dog had dug up parts of our back yard and we even had a tree stump. Now looks amazing. We now spend more time in the backyard in 1 week than we have the 3 years prior COMBINED

They were great! What a labor intensive job in the heat of summer! They removed the old grass and weeds and brought in new dirt and leveled the whole thing, including the parkway. They moved some plants and stepping stones where I wanted them. Then they put down beautiful blue grass sod under the sod they sprinkled fertilizer and grub killer. It looks beautiful!.

I would absolutely recommend R & G Almanza Landscape. Raul recently planted 3 trees in my yard, installed a french drain system, repaired a flagstone walkway, and placed new mulch and sod. Raul offered good suggestions regarding the drainage problem and his crew did a beautiful job completing the project. Very reasonably priced

They did an amazing job. The day they started it was raining and that didn't stop them. They were very professional and punctual. We will hire them again for future jobs.

The work was good and the team was dedicated and efficient. but company communication was unresponsive. Scheduling took 3-4 calls to book and the crew came on a day that was never agreed to.

Almanza is the best in the area, I've learned the hard way. Had them as regulars for landscaping a few years back. They were great for the most part - Raul was excellent at doing extra jobs (paving, tree-cutting) fast and prompt at very reasonable prices. The yard looked great. However, when fall cleanup came, the crew left a lot of debris behind.

During the summer, they also trimmed stuff I asked them not to trim and didn't trim what I wanted them to. I chalked it up to the crew though. Raul has always been great and I complained to him about it, noting I couldn't renew the contract with the same weekly crew. Not hearing from him about a different crew, I too hastily terminated the contract. BIG mistake.

Subsequent lawn care and landscape specialists have been totally abysmal compared. I've learned that the weekly crews of any company are not as honest, hardworking, scrupulous, etc. as the owners but you have to put up with that stuff. It's just part of the game apparently. Looking back, aul's crew wasn't perfect, but they were a lot better than any others I've had. If you have him as a landscaper, keep him. A good dude. I've regretted my action more every year.

Everything from the quote process to having the pavers installed went flawless. R&G was able to work with our budget and even took on a few extra landscapping jobs such as trimming and moving some existing plants without charge. The crew is very hard working and the work had excellent results. Our curb appeal has increased dramatically. Sal listened to what we wanted done, made his own suggestions and really collaborated well to have a successful outcome. Our condo association would definately hire R&G again!
