At Foundation Chiropractic, we prefer to raise healthy children rather than fix sick adults. The birth process, although natural, often places unwanted stress on the neck and spine of newborns. This stress leads to subluxations throughout the spine directly impacting neurology and, subsequently, growth and development.
Studies show that pregnant women under chiropractic care experience decreased labor time and less pain during delivery. Correct alignment of the pelvis and sacrum combined with optimal function of the uterus not only allows more room for the baby to grow and develop, but it also allows the baby to assume the optimal position prior to birth, providing an easier labor and delivery.
Most people associate chiropractic care with headaches, neck and back problems. Our interest in the spine is because it houses the nervous system that carries vital communications between your brain and your body. Some consult our practice for "non-back" health problems. If the practice member has subluxations, chiropractic care may be helpful.
