Fixing Old Problematic Drains and Pipes with Polyurea Pipe Coating in Laguna Beach, Orange County
Check out this video from SewerTV plumbing that shows our team fixing old problematic drains and pipes with spray polyurea pipe coating technology. This home is located on the cliffs of Laguna Beach in Orange County, California.
In order to resize the drain back to a four-inch round pipe we spin chains with carbide bits at high speed to remove old scale and build up. The resizing took about six hours with high speed chains and jetting. Imagine replacing the water in hydro jetting with chains!
Once the pipe is round, smooth, and dry, we spray polyurea creating a new structural pipe. The inside of the pipe is sprayed with four coats of polyurea, which creates a 3-4mm thickness on the pipe.
If you were to fix this issue by cutting open the ground and digging trenches, you are looking at an investment of 5-10 times the price of this service. Trenchless spraying of polyurea is the way to go and will save homeowners money on pipe replacements/fixes.

After a big corporate chain plumber left me with a hefty bill, a still-clogged drain, and a ridiculously over-priced quote to fix it, a contractor friend referred me to call Dave. He was at my house 30 minutes later to quote the work and started working 30 minutes after that. His price was $1400 less than the chain plumber's quote and the work was done quickly and cleanly.

Can not say enough good things about Dave and his son Justin. On-time. YES (10 mins early). Arrived on a Sunday: YES. Completed the job within 1 hour: YES Job site cleaned after leaving: YES Initial quote was from Pristine Plumbing in Irvine - $2000. I had clogged irrigation lines that ran to the street. Purchased my own $150 solution from Amazon that connected to my pressure washer. DID NOT WORK.
I then rented a truck/rooter from Home Depot to unclog the line. DID NOT WORK. Dave was here for an hour. Got to work immediately. Hydro-jetted two different lines. Educated me on some challenges with my existing irrigation lines. Made some excellent suggestions. Provided a camera view of all the pipes to show that things were cleaned and where I can fix some things to make it better for next time.
From a customer perspective, it was amazing to see the 20 years of GUNK that came out of the lines. We were having drainage problems to the street. My advice to you is to NOT WAIT to get this resolved. A clogged drain when we get a few days of rain will cost you THOUSANDS of dollars to fix and create days of headaches.

After calling asking roto rooter come out and give us an estimate we were taken back by the cost of fixing our sewer line. We decided to look for another plumber. After reading reviews we gave Dave a call and were EXTREMELY happy we did. His honesty and prices saved us over $10,000. If this experience has taught us one thing it's not to trust big name plumber companies. Rather than replacing the entire sewer system Dave suggested to hydrojett the line and now we are problem free! HIGHLY recommend.

I consider David Flynn to be one of the most competent plumbers I've ever come across. He responds immediately to your problem and solves the most difficult plumbing problems you can possibly come across in an efficient and timely manner.
