Alley Cat Rodent Exclusion

Just had Miro out to help with a recent bloom of rats infesting our home. I had gone through the house and found every spot they could get in and installed wire mesh. That pissed them off. We had a rat slab installed a couple of years ago but I decided to have Alley Cat look where they might be getting in from outside. Within minutes, he discovered 3 areas they we penitrating our basement.

One I would have never discovered. Since I had a bit of an investment, he told me what I needed to do, gave me a suit and gloves and gave me his card if I ever needed additional support. The previous quote from another company was $2500 and wouldn't show me where the rats were coming in from. Milo rocks! I feel confident I repaired all entry points and he was very compliary of the original work.

We had what I was sure was a moose move in with us- it sounded big. Alley Cat quickly found the burrow the moose had dug, filled it, reinforced it with a wire mesh barrier, and reinforced the mesh barriers they'd earlier placed around our home (which were intact). (They also assured us it was a rat, but I'm sticking to my moose story.) Alley Cat is great with scheduling, they're great with communication, they show up on time when they say they'll be there, they know what they're doing (moose or rat, it's gone), their prices are fair and their customer service is excellent.

I had a rat infestation in my crawl space and garage. Vlad came by and explained everything to me and gave me a very detailed estimate specifying exactly what they will do to mitigate my rat problem. They offer a three year warranty which was important to me and an indication of their confidence in their work. We were scheduled for a week later and the crew came by, a lead foreman and three workers.

They laid out protective coverings on my floor and worked quickly to get the job done in a few hours. They cleaned, sanitized, plugged openings, removed infected insulation and replaced with new, and set traps. The next day, two rats were caught in the traps, and I called them and scheduled someone to come by to remove the bodies, reset the traps and look for other issues. I would recommend their services.

Truly excellent service. They found evidence of rodent activity in a packed closet near the kitchen that we weren't expecting to be part of the process, and they carefully removed everything that was piled in there (a lot!), cleaned with care and then put everything back and let us know we'd be wanting to clean the clothes and things before we did anything else with them.

I am very pleased with the services I have received from Alleycat. The start of 2023 was very wet. Winter rains drove rats inside my basement through small holes left by the previous owners remodel. Unfortunately for me this led to a full scale rodent infestation. They built nests, multiplied and eventually ate their way into the HVAC ducts. I needed professional extermination as well as HVAC replacement. So far, we were happy with the service. When the workers did some damage to the ceiling while in the attic, they immediately set up an appointment to send their contractor to make the repairs. The entire staff, from Vladi for the estimate, Cesar the foreman and the receptionists were all exceptional in their professionalism, responsiveness, work quality and communication. We had a bad rat infestation in our attic in 2017. Alley Cat came out for an estimate, showed us pics of the findings, and discussed what needed to be done and why. We had to do a full attic and crawl space cleanup, new insulation in the attic and new air ducts, and many entry points sealed. They were professional, punctual, and respectful of our home while the work was being done. And we are still rat free in 2023! I highly recommend their services.

Alley Cat gave us an immediate response, quick bid, and relatively near job date during peak rat season. Their efforts at communication were almost excessive (lots of repetitive texts and email reminders) and I appreciated the thoughtfulness of getting an email the morning of service showing the technician's location while enroute to us (even though it showed him 15 miles away the whole time he was at our house).

Both Lee and Ismael left a great impression, answered all my questions and were as helpful as they could be. The big job of cleaning out, re-insulating, and rat-proofing both attic and sub-floor crawlspace, and patching entry points around the outside of the house, was done in one day-which was impressive. And after which they left no trace of themselves inside the house, and more importantly, no rats!

My only complaint, really, would be the amount of shiny black spray foam left around the outside of the house. It was used to fill holes near the foundation and under the eaves, but zero attention was paid to the aesthetics, so we now have what appear to be shiny black mushrooms ballooning out at various points from our light-colored house. Obviously we hired a rodent company rather than a contractor, so I didn't expect a "pretty" job, but it would have been nice to have been offered info about our alternatives for patching the visible areas of the house, before the work was completed.
