I Was overwhelmed and confused about the ssdi process. I Talked to Christy and she explained what to expect in detail step by step And set my mind at ease. I was in the area so i dropped by the office to ask a quick question. I was welcomed by Mr. Lyod Bourgeois and he sat down with me and not only did he answerer my question but he took the time to explain in detail this process.

I choose the firm Loyd J. Bourgeois LLC because I had read how compassionate this firm was. I had the misfortune of needing to file for SS disability for multiple issues that none qualified individually on their own. Christy Crotwell was my SS Hearing Rep and with her extensive knowledge of how the SS disability processes works took my case that had been denied 3 times and prepared an 8 page brief for my case hearing judge that combined all my issues into one huge case.
I was convinced my case would not win but Christy stayed positive and took the time to listen to all the changes I had gone through as a disabled person and conveyed these changes to the judge. I thank you Christy for your patience and putting up with me on my bad pain days. I thank Heather Darling, my SS Case Manager, for all the time she spent obtaining and inputting my medical records.
Even though I live in Las Vegas and LJB Legal is in Louisiana, I made the best choice because I could not find a firm in;;;;; Vegas that impressed me. I was referred to Loyd Bourgeois' office through an attorney my daughter assisted. Thank goodness for that, because that lead to my introduction to Christy Crotwell. Honestly that first day I met her I thought nothing more of her as the office manager/secretary. Well, Christy has turned out to be such a blessing in my life I just cannot explain it enough in words.
I tried to take on my own disability case thinking it was no big deal and I could handle it. I can't tell you how wrong a statement that was. After my first denial on my own, that's when I sought out Loyd's office for help. After an appearance in front of a judge with Loyd I was yet to be denied again. Through this time Christy began taking over more and more of my case load.
What a blessing she was. If I had a question she was quick to answer the phone right away. It wasn't long before we were on a first name basis discussing our children amongst other things which really made me feel like a part of their family, not just some client who they had to look up their folder first to remember who they were. So needless to say after another time before the judge and yet another denial which amounted to three by then I was about to give up.
But Christy's positiveness and great knowledge of the system and after a fourth time before the judge and almost seven years my case was finally settled. And, truly I only have Christy Crotwell to thank for that. So Christy, I want you to know how much I appreciate the countless hours and late nights you spent working on my case. I was very worried about finding a lawyer to help me through the SSDI process. With my new neurological condition, I didn't know what to expect. Mr. Bourgeois and his staff were very professional, responsive, and understanding. Most of the time when I called, I either got a real person or they called me back quickly when I left a message. They were very clear as to what they wanted me to do and what information to provide.

Christy Crotwell and India were absolutely wonderful! Attorney Charlie Chauvin referred me to their office. I had to apply for social security disability and I contacted them from my hospital bed. They walked me thru the process, and were very kind and patient during my hospitalization and recovery. They kept me informed and answered any questions I had promptly. Fortunately, once I was able to return all the necessary paperwork my disability was approved in just a few weeks. ( I was advised it could take longer). I would highly recommend working with Christy and her team.
