In 1924 Anthony L. Dementi founded Dementi Studio with a vision of becoming the area's premiere photography studio. The studio is now owned by Anthony's granddaughter, Margit Dementi, and continues to be a small, family-owned business and is considered Richmond's oldest photographic studio.

Services
Dementi Studio offers professional headshots for websites, business cards, social media, Bal du Bois and debutante portraits, or any other need you may have. We offer a variety of options for individual files or headshot packages. We photograph in our studio on Grace Street in downtown Richmond and work on location across central Virginia and around the world.
Portrait Packages start at $95 and individual portraits begin at $75. Oil portraits begin at $295. All of our portraits are professionally retouched. Framing options are available, please contact us for further information as well as to see samples. We are more than willing to do our best to match your heirloom family portraits, we just ask that you loan us samples.
We have a vast archive of portraits dating back to 1924, when the studio first opened. If you are looking for older portraits of family members, we are happy to search our archives for you. Searches are $15 for up to 5 names. If we find negatives, we will set up an appointment to have you come in and view the negatives.
If you have another place in mind for your casual portraits, just let us know. We are happy to travel to your home, school, a local park, or down to the James - Belle Isle is a great place! Sessions start at $99 for the formal only, in the studio. This includes one retouched image sent directly to the yearbook, one 8x10 portrait that is ready to frame, and a web-ready version of your retouched senior portrait.
Dementi Studio has been documenting Richmond's photographic history since 1924. The Dementi Archives house over one million photographs of Richmond, VA and the surrounding areas. You can view many images from our historical archive by category. There you'll find hundreds of historical photos of Richmond and other parts of Virginia.

My husband and I got married in September and Dave and Shaun shot both my bridal portrait and my wedding pictures. They did an amazing job, and exceeded my expectations. Not only did they shoot the pictures on our list, but they also took a bunch of candid pictures, which allowed us to re-live the day when looking back at them. We are so happy with… how the pictures turned out as well as the time they spending making sure everything was perfect. Dementi Studios was highly recommended to capture photographs of my wedding and I was not at all disappointed. The only problem was trying to select from the many, many beautiful photographs of the bridal portrait as well as the wedding pictures. From the studio for the portrait, to the pre-wedding preparations, to the church and then the reception; everything was flawless. The professionalism of the photographers in guiding the wedding party as well as the workmanship and quality of the pictures left nothing to be desired. I would definitely recommend Dementi for any event requiring quality pictures

Dementi Studios is yet another Richmond "institution". You can't swing a cat by the tail and not hit one of their famous historic photographs of Richmond which are prized by many Richmond residents and businesses. One can see them proudly hung in local businesses and private homes throughout Richmond. Most notably: Phil's Continental Lounge, Miller and Rhoads Condominium Lobby, The 2300 Club, and many more.
