Khalil Mjahed, DDS, FICOI achieved a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry where he became a member of the Delta Sigma Delta Honor Society. During this time Dr. Mjahed developed a passion for giving back to the community, both locally and globally.
Rita was born in Los Angeles, California then relocated to Monroe, North Carolina by her parents when she was twelve years old. She enjoys both the city and country life, love's dancing, listening to music, and being outdoors. Her children are her passion in life; always keeping her active. Rita has been in the healthcare industry since May of 2007.
Our new office in Uptown Monroe, NC was designed and built to provide our patients with a relaxing experience while utilizing state-of-the-art technology for the best dental care. Our passion and goal is to provide optimal treatment to our patients. This commitment to excellence can be seen in every procedure and by every staff member.
We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards as well as prepayment discounts. Additionally, we accept nearly all major insurance plans. Even though dental insurance is a private arrangement between you and your company, we will file your claim, handle all the paperwork, and help you get maximum insurance benefits.
Teeth are one of the most integral parts of our body and play a huge role in our appearance. But, oral issues such as cavities, discoloration, gum diseases, and other oral infections can ruin the oral health of a person. Out of all such oral conditions, a root canal infection is one of the most painful and complicated conditions that would require immediate attention.

Monroe Family Dentistry came highly recommended by a coworker. I came to them knowing I needed periodontal cleaning, two fillings redone and three crowns. I showed up to my first appointment very nervous. Like most people, I don't like going to the dentist. However, I was quite surprised by this office. Everyone was pleasant to speak to, very helpful in answering all my questions about procedures and insurance coverage, as well as being great with the numbing injections. Now I am excited to go back for my other appointments and finally having my dental health back on track. Thank you Monroe Family

The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable of what they are doing.Getting a appointment is done in a Timely Manner, even the dentist is Awesome I just had a filling and a root canal and I felt no pain during or after the procedure I went in Nervous but came out feeling confident about the service provided. You don’t even notice the filling and the work was done on my front tooth Dr. Khalil YOU ARE THE BEST

I absolutely love Monroe Family Dentistry! Love Dr. K and all of the staff! I was very insecure of my teeth. And had a lot of anxiety about past experiences with going to the dentist. They keep you at ease and talk you through each process. They don’t make you feel like you’re any less of a person because you don’t have a perfect smile! You won’t regret going here! I highly recommend this dentist office. They are very professional. My daughter had an appointment scheduled and they kept in touch with me every step of the way. The receptionist is the BEST. I called the office on Wednesday with a broken filling and needed an appointment asap since I am in the process of moving. The office got me in right away and Dr. K got me all fixed up within an hour. They are so caring and wonderful. I highly recommend this group of dentists and assistants. They are all amazing!!
