Born in Troy, New York, Gail Nogle was eight years old when she was given her first camera. As a teenager she did baby-sitting for neighbors, Carol and George Skarshinki, who had a darkroom in their basement, taught Gail to use a 4*5 view camera and encouraged her blossoming interest in photography.

I had heard of Gail and her photography for many many years. This was through an uncle of hers whom she had photographed. He had some wooden boxes with her photography on the top. I was invited by Gail to come by the studio and we decided we would do a fun shoot. We spent a couple of hours talking about travels, family, photography and adventures. Before the shoot, she gave me a tour of the studio and I was captivated by her ability to 'capture the moment'....whether this was in black and white, color, nature, animals or people. Her lighting techniques and props created a uniqueness to her portraits

We were blown- away by the overall experience of photos with Gail Nogle. She photographed our children and we now have a beautifully framed photograph hanging in our dining room. It is truly an artistic masterpiece and a treasure to keep for many years. I love the traditional and timeless style of her photos. Gail was so natural with my kids and did all the work to get them looking at the camera and smiling. Going to her studio is worth it just to see all her props! Truly amazing. Thank you Gail Nogle!

Gail has been photographing my family for 7 years now. Each year she captures their essence; their moods, and most wonderfully their individual expressions. For the past 3 years, Gail has photographed our 2 grandsons. We are very particular & want the very best. Gail has never disappointed.She has such patience with preschoolers & makes the photo shoots something that the boys look forward to. I have most recently used Gail Nogle Photography for my niece's senior pictures. Gail did an amazing job start to finish. She took pictures in her studio, as well as locating an outdoor venue for us. Also, she was so nice to work with during the entire process. We then went to the office to sort through the pictures, which was also a really nice experience. Gail is very skilled at photography, and her creativity and personality just add to the experience. I would definitely recommend Gail for any photography needs!
