Pretty happy with the outcome! After a quick email to get the ball rolling, I sent over some docs via a secure file transfer. Another 24 hours later I was contacted and a call was set up to discuss the documents. A week later, I received a return to look over and approve. A great refund and accurate results were achieved. ACT Group has done my taxes for more than five years. Every time they've done it well and I've experienced no problems. Everyone there is very professional and Cheryl is truly the best. If you like paying $500 for more than one person to do your taxes, then this is the place for you. For $500, ACT did not even have the courtesy to call me to let me know that they filed an extension. The junior tax preparer didn't even know my first name while the senior tax preparer's reputation precedes him at this own firm. This guy threatened to sue me if I wrote a negative review. Let's see if he does... This is the most unprofessional business that I've ever hired and they're condescending too!

My individual tax return was screwed up by my previous accountant and showed me owing over $7K. This firm took a look at it and spited all the errors and now I am getting a refund instead of owing. Thank god that there are honest and ethical people such as this firm.

We had a very bad experience with A.C.T . Here werewhat happen to us/ Condo -
1- Our tax was submit with an extract 0 in the end . Yes, an unbelievable mistake with an accounting firm. We found out as our bank charged us penalty. We contact the firm, they DIDN'T return us the penalty cost due to their mistake and they didn't apologize but only told us that we will get refund form the government. Just image if your company will short cash flow for no reason.
2- They had sent email to someone who is not one of our condo contacts more than once. It is clearly violate NDA and CFA codes.

I do not recommend the tax preparation services of the A.C.T. Group. The initial quote they provided me was quite high ($350 personal, $450 nonprofit) but at first I was impressed with their consultation and bit the bullet. Unfortunately, when my taxes were complete, I was billed for an amount substantially higher than I was originally quoted (for both my personal and nonprofit's taxes). I found their communication with me to be spotty and often quite delayed. My nonprofit paperwork wasn't completed until less than two weeks before the deadline to the Attorney General (June 18). A friend recommended the ACT Group. I was scheduled for an appointment with Dante for last Friday morning. Thursday evening at 4:50 pm ACT left a VM saying it would have to be rescheduled. While very last minute, these things happen and I agreed.
My rescheduled appointment was for 11:30 this morning. ACT called at 10:00 am asking to reschedule for later today. I told ACT I wasn't available later and I was left with the impression the meeting was on. My husband was having a tax NIGHTMARE. After he spent quite some time trying to handle it personally, I said STOP: We need a professional to handle this RIGHT.
