It is a condition which lasts two or more weeks and interferes with a person's ability to carry out daily tasks and enjoyed activities that previously brought pleasure. The exact cause of depression is not known, but the leading scientific theory is that depression is caused by decreased activity in the neural networks of the brain that regulate mood and motivation.

This is the most cold compassionate clinician I have ever experienced. I left out of that office in tears. I have dealt with PTSD from childhood trauma and had anxiety and depression my whole life. Dr Reddy was cold and in compassionate and made me feel like I was a drug addict and told to go to detox. Regardless of what she felt in her medical opinion there is a way to speak to patients with compassion that is part of the Hippocratic Oath to treat patients with dignity and respect, not sit across your desk making them feel inadequate I felt like it was an interrogation not a mental health visit

Dr Reddy is an unsmiling, cold person who assesses a patient in an unlersonalble manner. Her initial appointments aren't nearly long enough to take a thorough history. It is positive that she accepts insurance, unlike many psychiatrists and mental health providers these days, and also nice that the practice is all women. But the office staff is not welcoming and there is not a feeling that individual patients are valued. My experience was very negative.
