Orion Building Corporation was founded in 1983 by W. Richard Cooper, C. Richard (Rick) Daughrity, T. Randall Gill, and the late Martin S. Roberts Jr. J Moseley joined the firm in 2004 as Chief Financial Officer and after Richard Cooper's retirement in 2011, became a partner. In 2019 Randall Gill retired and his son Josh, who has been with Orion since 1994, became Executive VP/President Field Operations and a partner.
Rick Daughrity remains the only founding partner. Orion has become a leader in the delivery of construction management services in Middle Tennessee and the Southeast. While licensed in 19 states, Orion has chosen to focus the majority of our services in Tennessee. This decision has rewarded us with opportunities to develop strong relationships with top area employers, public officials, subcontractors, and vendors.

Services
Prior to that renovation we interviewed a wide variety of construction companies as well as contacted references before choosing Orion. We are preparing to do another renovation project next year and the Renovation Committee had a very short discussion about what company to use. They voted unanimously to go with Orion again.
While many firms provide clients with the same services, none provide the level of integrity, loyalty, and dedication that Orion provides. We work for many of our clients as an extension of their in-house staff or for organizations that have little construction management capabilities or who require more comprehensive pre-construction help.
