Services
As a registered dental hygienist, I perform screenings for oral cancer, help our patients achieve and maintain a healthy mouth, and keep people smiling! I treat our patients like family and make sure each patient has a fun and positive experience. I especially love working with the kids! I joined Dental Arts Group in 2006 as one of Dr. McFarlands' dental assistants.
Dr. David C. McFarland attended the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he graduated in 1982. He then attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry where he received his dental degree in 1986. Thereafter, he completed a two-year residency and a one-year fellowship in general dentistry at Great Lakes NTS in Chicago.
Our practice is unique from other practices in the Johnston, RI area because we strive to treat our patients like the individuals they are. It is always our goal to provide personalized care in a warm, comfortable, and friendly environment. During a patient's first visit to our office, our doctors always begin with a full and comprehensive exam.
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.
The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment options before you begin, so that you can make the best choice for you. Your smile is yours forever, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive the best dental care when you need it.

Recently I had my first dental checkup in a few years . I had been concerned about Covid which was the reason for my delayed dental exam . For my recent checkup
Julie Mallon was my clinician . Julie was wonderful! She was very professional, kind and a true credit to the Dental Arts Group ! I’m looking forward to an upcoming appointment with my Dental Arts dentist.
Importantly, the office is immaculate and the entire staff is kind . The staff adheres to Covid precautions. Patients are given a mask upon first entering the office & your temperature is taken prior to your dental examination. As

The previous dentist I went to filled my tooth 3 times and insisted that there was nothing wrong with the filling but obviously there was! He was going to give me a root canal (and I have no infection), but I went to this office for a second opinion and they decided to refill my sensitive tooth and other decay that they found. With just one tooth filling, my tooth sensitivity is nearly non-existent!! They actually filled my tooth correctly and did not rush to get to the next patient like
