In our daily lives, how many of us actually have the space to pay attention to and understand our beliefs, expectations, values, and behaviors that may be causing us confusion, pain or disconnection? Personal exploration through psychotherapy can help strengthen your awareness, allowing for you to make choices that feel congruent with who you want to be.

Many of us struggle with being comfortable connecting with ourselves and others. Sometimes this comes from a sense of unworthiness, shame, or our inability to accept that we are imperfect. However, feeling disconnected leads to anxiety, depression and many other painful experiences. It is important for our overall well-being to understand our patterns of disconnection.

I am a co-creator of Therapy Space LLC and adjunct faculty at UW Madison School of Social Work. I have practiced as a psychotherapist for almost 20 years. I am also a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher with a longtime yoga practice. I received my training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore and at the University of Maryland.
I am a co-creator of Therapy Space and have practiced psychotherapy in the US and Canada. My formative training was in Creative Arts Therapy, and I have had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical, community, and educational settings. I believe therapy is a space to develop strengths and resources, as well as examining problems and personal struggles.
Therapy Space offers online therapy appointments, sometimes referred to as tele-health. With a secure internet connection, you may access your therapist from the comfort of your home. Research has shown that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy. Online therapy has enabled us to provide services in communities which may typically have a shortage of mental health services.
We have complied a list of mental health organizations and resources for our clients and their families. Comprehensive PDF list of emergency shelters, help lines, legal services, UW services, law enforcement. Services for survivors of dating/domestic violence, including emergency shelter, legal advocacy, community education and support groups.
