Let me start off by saying I am shocked by the reviews I am seeing online. My experience with Steven and his team has been nothing short of amazing. He has exceeded my expectations on every level. Steven is great with his follow up, I have had quite a few questions and he is quick to respond and he is extremely knowledgeable. He has provided me with very good advice and assisted me in changing the structure of my business and my tax filing. I have tried several CPAs in the past but thankfully I have found a really good one with Steven. I strongly recommend him.

I have worked with Steven and his team for about seven years now. I have a small business, and he has helped me through every aspect of it from the beginning and throughout our growing pains.

I do not recommend this company. We worked with Kelvin Brown for as long as I can remember and never had any problems. Josh and Steven do not return phone calls and asked us to pay before our taxes were completed. And they forgot to file our taxes last year which cost us additional penalties. Now we will be paying more again this year as they did not complete our taxes. ZERO STARS

Received nasty message from Steve Nguyen berating me for asking for copies of our files we paid to have completed. Telling me that we were trying to "weaseling out of paying". Saying "We do not work for free.", "Hell, we didn’t even process the returns in question.", "I’ll be blocking your phone number along with email address shortly." "Don’t try this stunt again." And these are direct quotes.
We never had any problems with Kelvin Brown and Assoc. It was only when this company took over the business did they start treating us horribly. Sending a bill requesting a retainer for the audit

As a small business owner, Steven has saved me a ton of money. Emails are responded to within minutes most of the time even if my questions are not super clever. I'm not sure when they take time off :) Very efficient. Low hassle. If you are running your business as a sole proprietorship you need to give them a call. This is from a customer of about five years. I have always been treated respectfully, even though my business is small.

I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. No one asked Vanguard for free services and they're clearly upset that we don't want to retain them to handle our audit. They claim we owe them for a retainer but to my knowledge retainers are paid before services rendered. As the owner replied they've never done taxes for us. This is nothing more than an unprofessional owner that should stick to accounting and not customer relations.

Just got an email from Steven Nguyen. He emailed me after trying to get personal accounting done on top of the business accounting, payroll and filing we do.
My past cpa sold his business to Steven. I worked with that firm for 6 years and loved them.
Steven was verbally abusive in writing. I would copy his email here, which frankly is unbelievable he sent, but I am sure yelp would delete its for profanity and threatening nature.
Stay away from this firm at all cost!

I’d previously contacted Leslie for help with a simple job. We went over everything via phone and she let me know she’d moved to Vanguard.
Eventually Steven was added into our conversations. I answered every question he asked and provided everything he needed promptly via the portal on the website, which he and Leslie confirmed they’d received. I had to reiterate what I needed each time we corresponded; again, after I’d already explained everything to Leslie.
He provided no additional instructions and his reply indicated

Highly recommend! My personal tax accountant of 20 years retired last year and Vanguard took over her accounts. Changing tax accounting services after such a long period had me a little nervous. To my delight, Steven and his staff made the transition very easy. Professional, on task, and communicative even though I would probably be considered a small account. If you are looking for a no nonsense tax guy (company) with plenty of knowledge and who will help you lay out in advance what you need to be prepared, then Steven at Vanguard is your ticket! Highly recommend.
