Dr. Lanette Sikes and our friendly, knowledgeable staff are dedicated to making every visit to our office a great experience. Expert dental care is provided with a warm, personal touch in a comfortable, relaxed setting. Downtown Dental Excellence is a modern, state-of-the-art practice offering Cleveland area patients a full-range of general and cosmetic dental services, from routine check-ups to complete smile makeovers.
Dr. Sikes is a part of a Cleveland tradition. She is an alumni member of Cleveland High School, and now practices here in her home town. She received her BS degree with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Biology from East Texas Baptist University in 1994. She was on the Deans List with Honors and received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from East Texas Baptist University.
Dr. Lee loves being an orthodontist. Over the years, he has given so many of our patients the smile that they have always wanted. He loves seeing kids grow up and loves getting to know their families. It is always his focus to make each patients feel at-home when they come in for treatment. Dr. Lee is also on staff that the university of Texas dental school in Houston where he teaches the orthodontic residents.
In order to ensure proper oral care, scheduling regular visits with your general dentist is a must. To understand why seeing an oral healthcare provider is so important, it is necessary to understand what a general dentist is, what services they provide and how often you should see them to maintain healthy teeth, gums and cheeks-as well as a healthy tongue and jawbone.
In addition to at-home care, it is important to have your teeth cleaned professionally by a dentist regularly. If you do so, you'll likely only need a general cleaning and checkup. If you go too long between appointments or if you aren't taking proper care of your oral health, though, you may find that a deep teeth cleaning (or scaling and root planing) is necessary.

Downtown Dental is an amazing dentist office. A very comfortable and relaxing place, with staff that are wonderful, friendly, caring people.
You can tell the the people who work there honor the Lord Jesus, by the way they treat their patients, and by the Bible verses displayed within the building. We love going there for our appointments.

I am scared of dentists; but I can honestly say that this was an awesome experience. When I walked in, I was greeted with smiles from everyone. I was called in by Patience (the hygienist). She was very professional. She talked to me about every step she was going to take. Never rushed me at all. Then Dr. Sykes came in with a huge smile. She answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them). During the checkout process, I had the same smiles as the ones I received when I checked in. I was weary about all the great reviews, now I know why they have them. I felt welcomed every step of the way. I

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t get the name of young lady that assisted but she was great with my daughter. Made sure she was very comfortable, even covered her up with a blanket when she got cold. The sweet lady at the front desk, Maddie was very helpful getting our appointment set up and helped with all my crazy questions.

My whole family has been going to Downtown Dental for many years now and we would not want to go anywhere else. My son was 3 years old when we first started going and he is 19 now. Between all four of us, we have been through many cleanings, fillings, caps, a couple root canals and extractions and even braces. We feel like a part of the family and not just another patient. When my kids were younger they would even ask if it was time to go. That always made me happy that my kids were never afraid to go to the dentist like so many kids are, even myself as a kid. So I highly recommend Downtown Dental
