Photographer Terrence Jones first launched his career in the Tri-State area and is now based in Raleigh, NC. As a shy kid with dyslexia, he found photography was a great way to meet people. Realizing how much he loved the craft he enrolled in photography courses and embarked on a creative path.
Terrence began his career as the lead photographer / creative director of a regional magazine, where he honed his craft, producing portrait and fashion spreads under tight deadlines each month.After 10 years in that position, Terrence chose, to go into freelance photography full-time, focused his visual skills even further and his business took off.

It was Sunny out, but the temperature did not rise in the time of our shoot. Jayson is a former semi-pro football player and was willing to tough out the cold, but there was no need. There was a perfectly good location inside Raleigh Union Station. With these images of Jayson, I was exploring how he moves as I played with shadows on the walls.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Terrence for many years now. Over the course of those many years I have seen countless examples of his work. He is incredibly thorough and professional during every one of his shoots, and that continues as he works through his proofs following the shoot. He is very detail oriented and absolutely has a great "eye" for what he would like to capture, how he would like it portrayed, and what the end product will be as early as the onset of the process. He has a varied skill-set that includes (but not limited to) traditional model shoots, stills, and head shots.

Terrence is a great listener. He has a wheelhouse of techniques to help you relax in front of the camera. One thing I most appreciate about his process is letting us see some of the shots after they were taken, and then getting and giving suggestions. If you're looking for an experienced, professional photographer, Terrence is your guy. I have worked with him as a stylist and model for about four years, and I highly recommend his services. I appreciate his technical expertise as well as his creative input. Also, if you are uncomfortable being photographed, Terrence will make you feel at ease and get the perfect shot!
