When we can let go of what other people think and own our story, we gain access to our worthiness - the feeling that we are enough just as we are and that we are worthy of love and belonging. Our sense of worthiness - that critically important piece that gives us access to love and belonging - lives inside of our story.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if silencing the problems in your life was as simple as silencing a phone call? You might even start to look forward to your problems calling, just so you could silence them and show them who is in control. You may be just starting to think about therapy, or maybe you've been thinking for a while and you're ready to get started.

Something that has always bothered me about stereotypical therapy is how the client is seen as "the problem." I believe everyone deserves to be seen as a person, not a problem. We all do the best we can in the moment and thinking of people as problems doesn't help anyone, especially the client. I became a therapist to change how people in therapy see themselves and are seen by others.

Individual therapy sessions offer comfortable, confidential, empathetic therapy to guide you through whatever concerns you are experiencing. I aim to collaborate with you while challenging you to keep going. Throughout my sessions, I initiate check-ins with my clients to ensure that the modality of therapy works for that particular client.

Sometimes problems build up slowly over time without any one thing to pinpoint as to where it all started. Other times there are incidents of mistrust, invalidation, or betrayal that force us to re-evaluate our relationships.

As families grow and develop over time relationships can quickly become more complicated. You may feel the whole family needs change or that one family member needs change; in both situations family therapy can be much more effective at creating lasting change than individual therapy.
In a nutshell: Marriage and Family Therapists pay attention to relationships and context. You do not live in a vacuum, and your therapy shouldn't be in a vacuum either. Everything from your childhood home, friends in school, relationships with siblings, your first relationships, current job, neighbors, and local government influence who you are and how you experience your life.
