It was established by Dr. David Hergott's father, Dr. G. Allen Hergott. We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards.
Dr. David Hergott is a native of Meriden. After graduating from Providence College, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his dental degree in 1985. He then joined his father, G. Allen Hergott, DDS in the practice of general family dentistry.
To ensure he stays current with the advances in the field of dentistry, he is committed to attending continuing education courses and being an active member in local and state dental associations.He is a past-president of the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Dental Society and has chaired the Give Kids a Smile program for many years.

Donna has been with Hergott Dental Associates since 1980. Prior to that, completed a dental assisting program in Milwaukee, WI. Donna is the billing accounts manager and the 'go to' for insurance related questions. She enjoys working with people and always has the patient's best interest in mind. She finds it very satisfying to see the benefit our office provides in achieving patients' wellness.
Olivia has been a dental assistant at Hergott Dental Associates since 2014. Olivia feels that the most important aspect of her job is making all of our patients feel relaxed and comfortable. She is very attentive to each patient's individual needs. She contributes everyday to the warm and friendly atmosphere at our office.
Heather has been a dental hygienist at Hergott Dental Associates since she graduated from the Tunxis Community College Dental Hygiene program in 1990. Heather is an honest, hard-working member of our team who is able to put patients at ease each time they see her. She has a way with patients of all ages and thrives in the family atmosphere of our office.

First time at the office and let me just say WOW! Front desk clerk was GREAT, friendly, polite, and attentive. The place is very well kept, very clean, and is beautiful on the inside. The dental hygienist and assistant were all great and very gentle which you dont find very often in dentist offices. They were friendly, funny and you can tell they love their job. I recommend 100%

Always a nice & pleasant visit at Dr. Hergott’s office. This office takes every measure in patient care & patient safety especially now during this almost 2 years with COVID-19. I have ever confidence in Dr. Hergott & his great knowledge in dentistry & his team of experienced assistants. I completely recommend this office.

Sad to say I do not believe Dr. Hergott is human. He REALLY is that good. I lived in fear of dentists most of my life and am now paying for that mistake. But Dr. H has been simply a Godsend for me. His hands, tho they DO go in your mouth, are not even felt. Need an injection? Another of my greatest fears. With Dr. H you literally feel NOTHING. AND, as good as he is, you would expect at least a tad of aloofness or a sense of "hurry". NOPE. Not here. Seriously, if you have ANY need of dental work do yourself a favor and call his office. Thank me later. ALSO, I would be extremely remiss if I failed

I'm always Looking-Forward to my next visit. The folks are sweet and awesome! I go every 6 months whether I need-to or Not! Nothing to fear, and I get a free toothbrush every time! There's a TV on the ceiling in every room, but the folks are so personable that if you miss a show while listening to their personality it's OK! I live alone, and Nobody has to Tell me to go. Every time I'm finished, I reserve my Next appointment! Hergott Dental is the Favorite part of MY PERSONAL "Medical PLAN" ! I love them!

Overall a great experience. As a dental assistant myself I would highly recommend this office they deserve 5 stars. Very clean, Super efficient, very serious about protocols and infection control which is a huge plus. The hygienist Heather was so down to earth and knowledgeable.. it’s hard to find a great office like this. !!

Dave Hergott has been my dentist for years. You can tell that he leads by example. His entire staff is caring, patient and highly professional and provides the highest level of service. I've been to other dentists and trust me, you can't do better than Hergott Dental Associates!! PS - Their entire appointment system is automated with email reminders, text messages, etc.! I love seeing businesses using technology tools to make it easier for their clients!!

I've been coming to Hergott Dental for about 8 years. I've never been one to look forward to a dentist visit, until my parents stumbled upon Dave's business. As if the gentle work of his employees wasn't enough to ease my nerves, each chair has a TV mounted above so you can zone out and relax while they do their thing! I've been their customer for a while,a nd I'm certainly not looking elsewhere at any point int he near future!
