Dr. Brian P. Black was born and raised in Southern California. He has had a broad experience within the dental industry. Dr. Black is highly extroverted and truly enjoys conversing and laughing with family, friends, and his patients. He appreciates the arts and has acted in community theater, performing in Bye Bye Birdie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and, most recently, Sense and Sensibility.
Dr. Black's true passion is his wife, Pearl, and their two daughters, Julia and Chelsea. Our practice provides a comprehensive approach to dental care. With a variety of cosmetic and restorative options, we focus on providing our patients with comfort and convenience at all times.

Desert Pearl Dentistry carefully schedules appointments to afford quality care for each of our patients. When you miss or change your appointment without any advance notice, the time we created for you cannot readily be given to someone else who may need it. We ask that if you must change an appointment, please give us 48 hours advance notice.

Be careful that they bill your insurance on time or off to collections they send you. Im a former patient and have nothing bad to say about the staff except the person (she will remain nameless) who manages the billing. Go elsewhere in the valley ultra happy with my new dentist who never misses a beat.

Shady shady business going on here! I called and inquired about a bill that was sent to MY IN LAWS house. I was confused as to why they would contact my IN LAWS. When I called to speak to the lady who handles billing, I will admit, I was getting frustrated because she wasn't making any sense and ends up saying the bill wasn’t even supposed to be for me, but my father in law. Nothing was making sense to me and I asked for her name, because of course, I wanted to complain about how RUDE she was and how she isn’t making sense, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! I am so appalled!! Can we please get some answers

Love the staff! Hygenist is probably the most gentle (but thorough) I've ever had. Dr Black is professional and doesn't blow smoke by trying to talk you into stuff you don't want...and his work is superb. Office has always been accommodating and helpful when it comes to insurance and quotes. I wish I had found this office much earlier than 2 yrs ago.

Dr. Black and his staff are excellent. The office is as clean and sanitary as any medical office, and they use modern equipment to diagnose and fix any dental issue. Jose is a great Dental Hygenist, with many years experience. Our family just moved to La Quinta from Temecula, and Desert Pearl Dentistry will be our go-to facility. They came highly recommended from my previous dentist. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

This practice came highly recommended and I couldn't agree more. The moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by Taylor and Hannah who are incredibly helpful and accommodating. Sherman, one of Dr. Black's Dental Assistants, was professional and spoke highly of their dental team. Dr. Black was personable, knowlegable and conservative on treatment planning (which I appreciate). Jose, the dental hygienist, was amazing. He was so gentle. I was looking for a dentist that's professional and ethical, without up selling. I think I've found those things here at Desert Pearl. Since moving to the desert full time back in 2017, I've been to three other dentists. One told me my teeth would fall out if I didn't sign up for their "plan". Another told me I have periodontal disease (coincidentally, my wife was told the same thing) to milk more money from us. Went to Desert Pearl Dentistry for a deep cleaning and filling as they came highly recommended by my girlfriend and her family. Dr. Black and his staff do great work and are some of the friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. 5/5 definitely coming back and looking forward to my future visits!

I am a new patient of Dr Black's and am very satisfied not only with Dr. Black but with his entire staff. I went in for a crown and the entire process was efficient and professional...from the staff and Dr. I went in for the first visit and the temporary crown was placed. I needed to come back for a slight adjustment to the temporary and they accommodated me quickly and with no issues. The permanent crown was installed about two weeks after the initial visit and once again everything went fine. Dr. Black and his staff took their time and made the experience one where I would not hesitate to recommend
