Services
Everyone is challenged at times in life by trauma, grief and pain that can be difficult to endure and may be eased with the assistance of a compassionate, non-judgmental counselor. Let me provide a safe, validating space and assist you as you face your challenges, discover new choices and find solutions.
As a Registered Yoga teacher with significant training in Integrative and Adaptive Yoga, I offer individual Yoga training, mindfulness training and Yoga classes. I wholeheartedly believe in assessing the entire person, including the physical body, the mindbody and the spiritual body. I work with individuals and small groups to design Yoga practices that will significantly aid in healing.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an advanced Skills-Based training that allows individuals to restructure thoughts and feelings. Currently, Littleton DBT offers Dialectical Behavior Skills Training on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Adult DBST is offered for adults age 18 and up. At this time DBST Skills Training is offered as three eight week modules.
Peace of mind and relaxation may not be the only benefits we derive from meditation. According to a study conducted by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), participating in an 8-week mindfulness meditation program may cause measurable changes in the brain regions associated with memory, mood, empathy and stress.
As a Licensed Addictions Counselor, I work with individuals as a partner in their recovery. I am familiar with 12-step programs such as AA and NA. I also have extensive experience working with co-occuring disorders, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar symptoms and chronic pain. I can help you learn new coping and distress tolerance techniques to calm your nervous system.
