A great photo is both a time capsule and a reminder of the importance of living in the moment. I am honored to capture the individuals I work with as they are and tell a story that is wholly their own. My photo sessions are relaxing, fun, and sometimes silly. I am an expert wrangler of children, a keen reader of human behavior, and a curator of moments.

Services
I am honored to volunteer as a photographer for Soulumination, a non-profit organization documenting and celebrating the lives of children and parents facing life-threatening conditions. In the coffee capital of the world, I stick to black tea with lots of cream. I originally hail from the Midwest but have made the West Coast my home.
My school portraits turn the standard school portraits on their head! My images have a timeless feel and are very frame worthy! Each image is a time capsule of the age and stage of your child. I work to capture the true spirit of each child. I never ask for a cheesy smile, I spend time with each child to get genuine responses and emotions.
Family & extended family sessions begin at $750, with an additional $30 per person above 6 immediate family members. All sessions include a pre-session consult via phone, zoom or email, about an hour session on location, a digital client guide, 40 images delivered digitally via a secure online gallery.

Shannon is simply wonderful. Getting ready for our family photo session caused me some stress figuring out what everyone should wear. She was attentive, responsive and patient as we figured it out together. Thank you Shannon! Then, the day came and my whole family was immediately comfortable with her. She is so friendly and kind that we all relaxed and became less self-conscious soon after we started. I also appreciated that she didn't waste any time since she had scouted the location and had a plan for where to take photos, but was also flexible when she saw a great spot or asked for our input

I had a wonderful time working with Shannon. She came to my home to do a newborn photoshoot when my baby was 6 weeks old. The photos she captured of us are priceless. She has great instincts about what makes beautiful and memorable images. I am so glad she captured that very special moment in time for my family. And, bonus, I was self conscious about anyone seeing our new baby mess and clutter, but Shannon made me feel totally comfortable and at ease about it. Shannon has done several sessions of headshots for our employees, and they always turn out great! Prior to our first session, she had familiarized herself with our branding and had some great suggestions in terms of locations and style. She hit it out of the park - we're so happy with the images; they compliment our website well and are very on-brand. Each time I've reached out to her, she's been a breeze to schedule with, and our employees always say the sessions are quick and painless and that Shannon is a pleasure to work with. Shannon has done photo shoots twice with our son, and she had done such a fabulous job. My son is reluctant when it comes to having photos taken, but Shannon immediately had him at ease and laughing. We have worked with Shannon two times now. Both times Shannon has been fabulous. We have a young toddler. Shannon is able to work really well with children making them feel comfortable and at ease during the entire session. She manages to capture absolutely stunning photos. Shannon is wonderful at capturing people (and kids) in a very natural way. I've been lucky enough to work with Shannon a few times - both at my child's preschool and for our own family portraits. Some of my favorite shots have been captured in the moments in between our more "posed" pictures. Shannon is friendly, easy to work with and she really gets kids and family dynamics. I highly recommend her!

Shannon is a true master of her craft. She is so artistic with her photos and really knows how to catch someone's spirit in a natural candid way.
