City Development Corporation is a 4A corporation funded by sales tax to assure a continuous revenue stream dedicated to improving the local economy.

We provide confidential, professional site selection assistance or expansion and relocation information. The City Development Corporation can assist with local real estate professionals, economic incentives and demographic information.
El Campo is strategically positioned mid-way along the Texas Gulf Coast and is poised to partner with your organization for relocation, expansion or strategic implementation of your long-term goals. The City of El Campo covers an area of 6.7 square miles and is the largest city in Wharton County, which covers an expansive 1,115 square miles.
Our newest park, completed in 1999, the 64-acre Meisel Industrial Complex has complete, industrial infrastructure. Tracts of 40 acres and smaller are still available immediately for build-to-suit projects. The Complex offers prime access to US Highway 59. Land incentives are also available. Free or below-market value land in Meisel Industrial Complex may be offered to companies with qualified projects meeting board approval.
Our community recognizes the importance of local industry by providing services and programs that foster the health and growth of existing business. The City of El Campo completed a Comprehensive Plan in 2017, which strategically directs future growth and development of the community. El Campo's local lenders are pro-business and committed to growing the community.
The City of El Campo and the state of Texas have a tax structure that's friendly to business including no state income tax.
