A person's liberty is the most important thing in their life. You are at risk of losing that liberty if you have been charged with a crime by the state of Texas. In addition to public embarrassment you may be facing prison time, fines, a permanent criminal record, and difficulty in finding future employment.
The federal government is a separate entity from the state of Texas. It has its own laws, its own courts, and its own law enforcement divisions. If you are charged with violating the laws of the United States government then you will be prosecuted in federal court by the Department of Justice. Such prosecutions are considered very serious in nature.
Certain offenses can be blamed on issues of addiction or other societal problems. Society, however, shows no patience for those who commit acts of violence. Prosecutors aggressively pursue charges and judges are likely to show little leniency. Acts of violence can be charged as a felony and, if the accused individual is convicted, they will often face prison time.

A friend recommended Joey Tellez, and listening to them was the best thing I could’ve done. Extremely helpful and always going the extra mile. Very attentive, and always kept me on the loop of things. Every question I had regarding the crash and insurance was answered, and the whole process was explained. A very trustworthy law firm I continue to recommend.

If I could give Joey Tellez Law Firm more than FIVE STARS I would! I initially called just to inquire on some questions I had and immediately Mr. Tellez made me feel comfortable, not only was he was very professional but had solid answers to all my questions. Long story short hiring Mr. Tellez was probably the best thing I could have done. During these Covid-19 times he made it easy to connect face to face through online platforms, I would rehire if needed.
