The Mavco story began over a century ago, when Girard Aloysius Mavon founded G.A. Mavon & Co. in 1916. Before this, he enjoyed a well-earned a reputation as a determined businessman, traveling door-to-door by bicycle, selling insurance to the locals as a field man for the Dubuque Fire and Marine Company.

What a frustrating experience. I approached this agency to solve a condo association insurance placement. Not only did I have to continually follow up with them for status, the answer I was given each time made no sense! They were slow and frankly the woman I worked with didn't seem to know what she was doing! I resolved the placement myself with a market that should have easily been on their list of those to approach. Can not recommend this agency for commercial placements.

I just finished a 12 year relationship with Mavco insurance and Marianne Cossmann. Although they tried to help, moving to California required a local agent for my needs. Marianne and her crew did an outstanding job. I could not of been happier with customer response, product offered, and overall care. I really wish they could have been my agent where I'm at now. Kudos!
