Dr. Tanquilut was born in Chicago and raised in the southwest suburb of Orland Park. He earned both his bachelor's degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois. As a graduate student, he completed an externship in oral surgery. After dental school, Dr. Tanquilut completed a General Practice Residency Program (GPR) at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
He rotated through various different departments during his residency, including internal medicine, anesthesiology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Tanquilut has taken almost three times the annual continuing education hours required by the state.

When I was a kid going to the dentist was a horrifying, scary experience. It is no longer the case, thanks to Western Springs in Dentistry! Dr. Tanquilut has done a root canal (or two, I forget!), several crowns, a night guard, helped me with my TMJ, and he’s about to do an implant. I probably forgot something, but, each and every time he has been reassuring and gentle, and the crowns and the work is always excellent. His methods are very advanced and professional. I have also seen Dr. Cheskis several times, and I don’t hesitate to do so. She is also a very nice and reassuring person. The icing

First time at this practice and I am so glad I went! EVERYONE was so nice and created such a beautiful stress free environment! The office manager Janette was so informative, detailed and just a pleasure to talk to. She explained the charges and insurance very clearly and had extensive knowledge. Dr Cheskis was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and taken care of! I truly feel I am in the best hands! They almost make you want to have more dental issues just so you can hang out with them 🤣 That’s how awesome they are!

My first visit was on Friday and it was truly a very comfortable one. Dr. Cheskis put me at ease and was exceptional in communicating each segment of the exam and treatment proposed. Costs were presented prior to proceeding, which was something I'd not experienced at previous dental offices. Needless to say, this will be my new dentist!

Being someone who doesn’t enjoy, and has never enjoyed the dentist due to not being handled with care during cleanings, unnecessary procedures, etc. I have to say I really enjoyed my experience at Western Springs Dentistry. I recently moved to Hinsdale from Chicago and I will continue to have my teeth taken care of here. Tanner was knowledgeable, gentle, and quick all things you want in a hygienist. I was pleasantly surprised with my overall feeling upon leaving my first appointment, and look forward to my six month cleaning.

I highly recommend this place. The waiting area was very clean & neat, receptionist was very welcoming & friendly, the dental assistant was very comforting & helpful. Dr. T was very thorough with my treatment options, which gave me the confidence to want to come back & throw away my fear of dental work. Can't wait to have my SMILE BACK!! 😁
