I spent hours and hours looking for a photographer that can capture my young family - and when I found Katie's website, I knew she was the one right away. My story is full of adventure, joy and hope. I have travelled coast to coast, backpacked through Europe, survived multiple brain surgeries and I'm raising three beautiful children on my own. I am hopeful and determined. I love to sing. I am a lover of life, and believe in happy endings. My hope is that I can capture your story through the magic of photography.
I bring everything needed for the two hour session to the comfort of your home. We will get comfortable together and I will capture you and your newborn precious moments together. At the end of our session you can preview online gallery where you select the images that you want edited. Then followed by an edited gallery so that you may download your images to a hard drive.

Katie was suggested from my sister in law since we were new to the area. Katie did our maternity and new born photos. We love how natural the photos are and how comfortable she made myself and husband feel! She listened to what we wanted and put in her own professional touch! Was planning a surprise proposal for my fiancé, and needed a photographer all the way on the opposite coast in DC. I started going through yelp reviews and looking at photos - Katie's were amazing, and after talking to several of the photographers in the DC-Virginia area and found that I liked Katie the best, she also gave me a very fair price!
She coordinated down to the last detail with me, and was very genuinely excited for us and the occasion.

Today was an amazing, beautiful, PERFECT day....today to my surprise, my sweet fiancé proposed in a quiet, stunning garden....and suddenly we were whisked into the most romantic, fun photo shoot by Katie. We exchanged kisses on staircases, danced in front of a fountain, and twirled together in a grassy open area. She is not only incredibly talented (the photos she took were STUNNING) she also made the experience so special and memorable!!! Katie gave us specific guidance for how to pose for various shots and then let us enjoy some special moments while she captured from afar.

We used Katie for a newborn photoshoot based on a recommendation from a friend who has used Katie for years to photograph her family. She scheduled us immediately when she had a cancellation, came directly to our home and with loads of gear for different photo options - all a blessing to a first time mom with a 3 & 1/2 week old!
Katie was great during the shoot, but even more importantly the photos came out fabulously! She made the process so easy with online galleries and sending edited proofs. The only problem was deciding which shots we wanted!

Katie was an absolute delight to work with on our engagement pictures in DC. She responded to all emails, she was open to our suggestions, she showed up on time, she brought cute props, she knew how to make us feel comfortable (for two people who are not used to being in front of a camera), she accommodated an outfit change and she even stayed later than we agreed upon in order to catch the good sunset lighting. Katie is easy to work with, very responsive via email and phone, flexible, and most importantly, a great photographer. We used Katie for family pictures and newborn pictures and were very pleased the results. Katie was phenomenal with our baby and knew how to get her to smile and bring out the best in her. Katie did my engagement photo shoot and our pictures are fantastic! She recommended we go to the Manassas Battlefield and it was a beautiful location. Husband-to-be and I were very shy, but Katie was so friendly and sweet, we were able to warm up to her quickly and get some amazing photos. She has great techniques in order to get that perfect shot and really made this experience so much fun. I would definitely recommend Katie as a photographer!
