Dr. Sertich started the Merrillville Dental Center in 1993. Dr. Kamp joined the practice in 2016 and officially bought it in 2018. Together they have grown and offer many different services to patients so they can treat the entire community as needed. Dr. Sertich has a wealth of experience and is well respected in the community and by his patients.
Julia is another face at our front desk who helps to keep things running smoothly. You will generally hear her friendly voice when you call our office. She is our office assistant and has been with Dr. Sertich for 16 years. She is the person who will be happy to help you with your scheduling and insurance needs.

I don’t know why I haven’t come here sooner… came here as a new patient for severe tooth pain and I was able to get an appointment immediately… I’m 6 months postpartum so I’m a bit emotional still and was a crying mess and everyone was so kind. From the front desk to the doctor and everyone in between. I will definitely be back for ongoing treatment and I’m going to schedule my husband an appointment as well. Hands down, best compassionate and understanding dental office I’ve ever been to.

This is by far the best dental center I’ve ever been to. From the time I walked in until the time I left, everyone was so pleasant. I was greeted by name when I arrived ( even though I was a new patient), the dental assistance was extremely nice and gentle when taking my x-rays, and the dentist was superb. He answered all of my questions and explained future procedures I was looking to have in complete detail. The billing administrator was also extremely helpful. She scheduled my future appointment and summarized the cost so that I knew what to expect. I highly recommend this dental center!

Happy to be a client here- couldn’t be happier to not feel like cattle being pushed through a medical office! Everyone was very nice, and ‘genuine’ nice (not the smoke blowing kind). They explain everything up front and they can even schedule a cleaning with your first exam which is a time saver! My hygienist was Emily- she was so patient, diligent and very kind, I recommend her! I was referred by my retired dentist and I trusted him as he was also a genuine person who cared about the patient not the $$ rolling in. I came here wanting a second opinion because I had some dental work done at another place and it needed to be redone already after only a few short weeks. They were able to get me in immediately here at Merrillville Dental, which was so helpful! Tiffany, one of the dental hygienists, was so kind and thorough throughout the whole visit. She went over all of my x-rays, and talked to me about each tooth that was bothering me and made sure I saw the doctor the same visit because it was necessary. I made an appointment for a checkup because I was experiencing pain in my gums. When I arrived I was immediately given a warm greeting by Mallorie and we discussed the entire process of what to expect from my visit. I could not have expected a better staff than the ones I encountered! These women are amazing! They made me feel so welcomed.
