Dr. Hill has specialized in pediatric dentistry for over 25 years. She spent her childhood years in England and immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 where she attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She received her DDS degree from University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School and completed a two year pediatric residency at the University of Illinois.

Best adult and pediatric care ever!! I had really bad dental experiences as a kid. I never wanted my children to experience that! I found my answers with ABC!! And as an adult I’m still very very anxious. ABC has been our dental home for almost 15 years. And now ortho too:). Just yesterday I had to have some pretty extensive work done…..replace a bridge and have a tooth pulled:(. Dr Cordell is awesome!! I had 3 shots yesterday and I’m not even sore today. He always reminds me I wish you didn’t get so anxious you know I got this—one day I’ll listen!! Thank you

Let me start out by saying that the front desk staff is so extremely rude and unhelpful. They are all like robots and don't listen to what you say. This is not my first time being treated rudely by them - its like the 3rd or 4th. I have spoken to the front office manager once about their rudeness but nothing has changed. Then when its time to make the next appointment the only times they have are like 2 months out and only during school hours as they don't work any nights or weekends!! When it comes to ortho visits their visits should be only be 4-6 weeks apart! My child doesn&apos

I had been a patient at ABC dentistry for over 20 years. Dr. Cordell and Dr. Haines, as well as their entire team, always provided exceptional and skilled care.
I unfortunately made a switch after COVID to another dentist that was in network and closer to my home and it was a huge mistake! I forgot how much ABC dentistry treated their patients like family.
I called here after a dental emergency happened last night with a crown and I was promptly fitted in and given exceptional treatment.
I will be returning as a permanent patient here not only for the great dental work that is provided;

Dr Hill was thoughtful and compassionate, giving great advice while we were figuring out what to do with our mini crisis during a Covid 19 shelter in place order. When a full course of antibiotics failed to completely resolve some terrible pain for my son, Dr Hill had us come in for an extraction. Dr Hill and her daughter worked as a team- decked out in quarantine gear- and they led the whole process smoothly and efficiently. My 6yr old had been to several different dentists but never could get any work done because he has yet to out grow his big nerves. When he once again started to have a meltdown

My children have been patients here for probably a decade but we will not be returning again. Today they kept me waiting 45 minutes for an appointment for my 3 year old special needs child. Six months ago, they kept me waiting 30 minutes for an appointment for the same child. I only went back today to give them one more chance but I will not make the same mistake again. They are obviously overbooking their appointments and not being considerate of their clients' time. I did get an apology from a couple of the staff members but did not appreciate getting very condescending "advice

My kids LOVE going to the dentist. They certainly don't get that from me. We moved and it now takes us about 40 minutes to get to the dentist but we do it because these gals and guys here are AWESOME!! My kids always get excited when I tell them their appointments are coming up. My son (5) barely gets out of the chair before his sister (2) is climbing up for her turn. I highly recommend Dr. B. She is so patient, so great with kids, has a way of explaining things before she does them so they understand and have zero fear. If you are searching for a dentist for your kids..... seriously.....

My family loves ABC! My 3 & 5 year old get excited for their dental visits!! Yes, we still see some tears but the staff always has them smiling and laughing by the end of the visit. My daughter needed xrays for the 1st time and Dr. Hill and her team made it so easy!!! Thank you ABC for the great care!!!

I would rate them higher if they honored appointment times. I have two kids in braces that have been paid in full. If they had not been prepaid I would search for a different orthodontist practice. It is extremely frustrating when children are pulled out of school for an appointment and you have to sit in the waiting room on average 20-40 minutes.

We all go to here for our dentistry. The adult dentists are great-very thorough and knowledgeable in their practice. My kids see the peds dentists and they are every bit as wonderful. The entire staff-from scheduling to billing to the clinical team are all friendly and kind.
They just added a therapy dog who literally turned my daughter's experience around in about five seconds once they brought the dog out. What a great addition-for my six-year old animal lover, this was the best part of her day!

Orthodontics service is abysmal, rude , unprofessional and ill-trained staff (a technician struggle to assemble a 3 piece plastic mouth piece then placed into my child's mouth incorrectly assembled - dangerous, ignorance and apathy only to be corrected by another staff member when she could not get equipment to work properly. They use cheapest low quality appliances for orthodontic treatment barely attached them to your child's teeth flash them with a heat light 2-3 seconds only to have them loosen a few days later while eating pasta then when you return to the office for repair they

The person I talked was always rude with tone. I asked her to change the manager then she pretended to be a manager with a different name. She also hung up on me after talking whatever she has to say.
Shame on you having kind of that staff. They might not want to keep the patients and have no idea where their salary comes from.
If i can give zero star, I'd like to.

I've been a patient here for nine years and i'm always happy with the team here. They get you in and out quickly (an important quality at the dentist) and are just fantastic to work with. They also are great about working with technology, i'll get reminder texts about my appointments and I can adjust my appointments easily! Dr. Cordell is a wonderful dentist, friendly with just the right amount of guilt when it comes to keeping up on my oral hygiene.

Ok, so I am willing to admit that I am not always adamant about keeping up with dental visits, but In my defense I have moved to different parts of the country 3 times in the last several years. With that being said, don't be like me and blow it off. If you do, you may wind up having to go through what I did. This included a series of 4 different dental visits spanning about 2 months for scaling and root planning for my gums (which they call "deep cleaning" which sounds less threatening) and to get fillings for a couple of cavities I had. I decided upon ABC based upon the recommendation

ABC Dentistry is not a bad place. They have a huge waiting area filled with different activities for the kids to do. My boys love playing there. Aside from one of the dentists, who I feel is always in a hurry and not very attentive to her patients, the rest of the staff is very nice.
The problem is with how they bill you. They recommend procedures like it's no big deal, yet they fail to tell you that these procedures come with hidden costs and you have to pay out of pocket for all that "insurance hasn't covered."
Their billing department also does not budge on the amount

Not sure if the other reviewers did any comparisons of costs.

We had gone to fill my child's tooth cavities and the total cost was well over $2300, out of I was asked to pay $750+ out of pocket. Unfortunately, I did research after the fact and realized I could have got the exact same procedures done for less than half the cost.
The doctor had conveniently suggested that we split it up over 3 sessions and the total cost ended up being much higher (only realized this once we got the final bill)
We had given our insurance and were told that they accept it --

When I go to service places like dentists, doctors, allergists, I usually focus in on those that are able to (1) perform their duty well in terms of finding cavities, fixing problems, etc. (2) customer service, and (3) the ability to communicate well.
ABC Dentistry gets high marks on all levels! They are a dentist practice that is focused on all age groups (great for the kids and great for adults). I came here in February after just moving up to the area and got myself a chipped tooth. On a whim, I gave this place a shot and Dr. Kordell was able to fix my chipped tooth and explain to me the problem

Amazing. We took my 2 year old to see the testing for a checkup and cleaning. Our two year old fights us when we brush her teeth and it usually ends in tears. On top of that her 2 year check up at the doctors office was filled with crying to the point where we couldn't even weigh her.
We expected more of the same for a dental check up. But there is something about ABC Dentistry that made our child feel easier. The dentist (Dr. Hill-Cordell) and her assistant were very friendly and very patient. My daughter relaxed in my wifes arms as they checked and cleaned her teeth. Done in 10 minutes
