Darling Dimples Newborn and Maternity Photography offers beautiful and creative images for you and your family's cherished memories. It's important to give clients the images they desire takes a combination of good listening, good visualization, technical and creative skills.

Award-winning photographer Cindy Peters has worked with hundreds of clients in the creative arts for many years and has learned that closely listening to her clients always produces the best results.Beyond her love for photographing families at this special moment in their lives, she has an extensive artistic background including painting murals and faux finishes all over Southern California in homes and businesses.

Yes, you can borrow a dress for your Darling Dimples Maternity Session! These fit most moms, but not all. These dresses may not fit you, so please also bring your own dress too, just in case. Please bring your own strapless/tube bra and "bottoms", swimsuit bottoms work well. A few dresses are for in-studio use only, simply because the fabric is too delicate and they need professional cleaning.

It's not unusual to have some reservations about bringing in a photographer for this private, family moment. But you may want to ask yourself "do I want to try teach my aunt how to use my i-phone to try to get picture of the 3 of us?". Sometimes, sadly, that's just how it ends up!

I bring portable studio lighting to give you the most flattering images without using flash (new babies do not appreciate flash) and the hospitals fluorescent lights can be very harsh - moms want to look good too!Take a moment to compare prices with what your hospital might offer. I work quickly, about 20 minutes in your room, to ensure this precious moment's memories live on.

Right after baby is born, their soft bones and cartilage begin to fuse and calcify, so comfort in posing begins to fade away. Elbows & knees become chubby and less bendable. This is exactly how things are supposed to go. Unfortunately this starts to make any type of posing less comfortable. Baby's sleep becomes less and less "dreamy".

Some clients LOVE fancy props, some prefer a simple basket or plain backdrop. Posh Props are only available with the Deluxe Newborn Session or Session for Twins. Sessions include a variety of backdrop fabric colors, a choice of wraps, a selection of a couple of baskets or a crate or tub, and pretty fillers for those.
