We've been using Yoder and Company for over 40 years and have always been very satisfied with their excellent service. They are professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable and always respond in a timely manner. We're moving out off state and will continue to use them as our CPA.

I worked with them for 3 years now and will be switching to a different service.

I was charged over $1000 for my 2019 return (only "out of the ordinary" situation I can think was income from 2 employers in two states - not sure that justifies a bill of that extend). I questioned why the bill was so high and was told I communicated too much with my CPA - what a weird response ...

At the onset of my 2020 return I explicitly asked if my bill was going to be as high as the previous year (no complicated scenarios in 2020 btw) and was told that I should expect a bill between $500 - $750

After doing my own taxes for 10 years I decided to be an adult and get a CPA. I googled "best CPA in Sacramento CA" and Yoder came up as top rated. So I gathered all my W2, non-profit info, deduction info ect. and headed over. I was told by the accountant that it would cost between $1,000-1300.00 to prepare my taxes. I thought it was fair since they had a good reputation, and put a $500 deposit down to start the work in Oct 2019. I receive a bill in Nov 2019 saying I owed $1300.00 for EACH filing. I knew it was a mistake and emailed Yoder about the bill, no response. Come December

Yoder and Assoc. handled the taxes for my business for more than 10 years. They did an OK job. This year, after not receiving my competed returns when they said I would receive them, I received a invoice from Yoder and Assoc. that was significantly higher than previous bills. The invoice had nothing but a total figure due. So, for the first the time in 10 years, I asked for a modest invoice reduction, based on the lateness of their work, and because my assigned accountant left Yoder and Assoc, mid-return, without any notice.
