As an electrical contractor, I feel fortunate to have Don Wilke and his crew take care of any issues that arise in my fleet of vehicles. For example, one of them recently had problems starting, and the initial diagnosis was that the fuel pump was bad. Don later called and reported the actual problem as only a split fuel-pump rubber hose inside the tank, saving me a few hundred dollars in the process.

Can't work on my vehicle ATM, because I injured my back. Called just now on recommendation of folks over at Brick House. Spoke to Tim. He advised me that they were booked until after New Year. Fine. But when I mentioned I'd like to get my 80 Series Land Cruiser worked on, he said he would not be inclined to work on such an older vehicle but perhaps Don might, since whenever you work on older vehicles, if something else breaks, this becomes an issue. What?! Isn't this an automotive shop? First time, I've ever heard of ageism in automotive repair. Not what I expected coming

Have had Don work on my cars the past few years, several occasions I've had to return to fix the repairs made. Sometimes that happens. But after much consideration and time (8 months) contemplating this review I felt this needed to be said. My son purchased my old car, meticulously maintained and worked on by Don. Never owning a car before my highly functional autistic son attempted to understand the work being done on the car. We had to leave Sutter Creek on a Monday morning and our Toyota Camry failed to run properly on Saturday morning. There were no repair shops open anywhere all weekend but we sent an email to Gold Country Auto Clinic, the place where we've been taking the Subaru to for 8 years. Don Wilke answered that same day, telling us to bring it in first thing Monday morning.

Let's start by saying that nobody in their right mind gets up in the morning and says, "I hope I have to have my car repaired today!" That said, if it must happen, you cannot do much better than Don Wilke and Gold Country Auto Clinic (GCAC)... Honest, fair and capable...

I had an issue with my Jeep Cherokee engine light was on and it was hesitating. I contacted the team at Gold Country Auto Clinic they were able to diagnose the issue, order the parts & make the repair quickly even dealing with my extended warranty company directly. OK, full disclosure: This is my second review of Gold Country Auto but in all honesty they deserve 50 more! The way they conduct business is the way ALL businesses should be run.
Here is the situation I was just in that prompted me to write this. On Wednesday I was driving my truck up the small hill on Hwy 49 in front of Safeway when I lost ALL acceleration. Seriously, uphill with gas pedal floored at 21 miles an hour. Yikes! Was able to get it to Gold Coast a little later, Explained to Tim what had happened. GCA confirmed the issue and a couple of other engine codes. From the look on his face

This place is awesome. They are all about customer service. They previously serviced my breaks and did a great job but I just dropped by because I had a slow leak in my tire. They don't even do tires but they put air in my tires and gave a reference for a tire place. As a woman it's tough going to body shops because I have no idea what's going on with my car. Tim is awesome, he explained what's going on with my car each time and made me feel really at ease about my visit. Go to this place if you want great service and even greater customer service.

We took our vehicle to this establishment a few months ago for some engine noise. They said it was a rod knocking. They supposedly did a diagnosis on the car. I am really starting to believe that there is nothing but racist people in that area. Or the mechanics in this area have no clue what they are talking about. The whole time it was the fan!!!! Had a real mechanic from Sacramento check the car out and had it fixed within 30 minutes. He even showed us how to fix it. It just goes to show the difference in mechanics. The guy who fixed this has been a mechanic since he was less then 10 years old

These folks are Way Beyond Good...they are Fantastic! Back in September I was making a trip from Washoe Valley, NV to Salinas, CA...for my late Uncle's Celebration of Life...I was enjoying the brand new pavement on Highway 88...when I came up on a stoppage for the final stages of repaving...I was in a long line of stopped cars...smelled burning oil...and thought Man, someone needs to fix their car!!...right then I saw smoke curling up the side of the Corvette...Oh it's MY CAR! I've been really happy with the service I've received at the Gold Country Auto Clinic. I also appreciate it that they seem very honest and don't try to sell me service I don't need. I've had friends that have been coming here for over a decade (also when it was Subaru Plus) and have never heard one bad thing about them.

I've only been here a couple times so far with my beat up Jeep Patriot, I was previously going to the dealership. The Jeep was getting really bogged down, less power, I needed the rear brakes done, etc. This place has done an awesome job, the Jeep has some pep in her step again, and the prices aren't bad. Plus you're supporting a family business who seems to take pride in their work.

My husband and I have had our cars serviced at Gold Country Auto for about 3 years. Recently, the shop replaced the brakes on my CRV when the pads were worn. Today, I called Don (the owner) telling him there was a small fluid leak down the front tire. After I called, Don showed wonderful compassion when he worried about me driving on brakes that might have a leak. He sent a tow truck to my home (on him) so he could check the brakes at the safety of the shop. Thank you, Don and Gold Country Auto Clinic.

I was stuck Christmas Eve when my Expedition broke down in Jackson, CA. Everything was closed until Tuesday. But Tuesday morning at 7:30 they answered my call and I got the car to them by 8:30, and it was repaired by noon. They were courteous, knowledgeable, have all the diagnostic equipment to do a thorough job. They checked out the whole vehicle and gave me a rundown on the condition of the fluids, brakes, etc. I will be returning to them for all my vehicle needs.
