I am a fun loving, adventurous, organically grown, photographer based in Honolulu Hawaii. I believe that family and finding connection are some of the most important things in life. The pursuit of capturing those connections is the reason I became a photographer. And what an honor it is to be there for the big moments in people's lives: engagements, weddings, babies, and beyond.
What defines my method (and frankly what sets me apart) is my ability to put people at ease. It's the key to getting natural, radiant photos that you will love. Your wedding day is filled with so much emotion, love, and laughter (all the feels). I want to capture all of that for you, and for my photos to be an instant portal back to that day. If you're like a lot of people (and myself), getting in front of the camera is a nerve-racking experience. I'm here to make that part easy for you.
Includes an on location portrait session, usually about an hour long. It features the engaged couple with optional outfit changes. The session is laid back and fun and a great way to celebrate you as a couple. The images can be used for announcements, save the dates or wedding guest sign in books. High resolution digital files will be provided on a website for viewing, sharing and printing.

This is long overdue review but I felt it was critical to get one in. Rachel is amazing! My fiancé and I had limited time in Oahu on a vacation and we were able to book our engagement photo shoot with her. She was so welcoming to our desired photo shoot venue and was so friendly and responsive throughout the process. It started raining a bit at the botanical garden but she was ready to capture all of the moments and our photos turned out amazing. We were both first time subjects in front of the camera and pretty nervous but Rachel directed us and really made us feel comfortable and good. 10/10

I signed up for a mini session for Mother's Day with Rachel and I can't believe how beautiful & wonderful the photos turned out. We got lots of compliments from friends & family. Rachel is a wonderful person and great to work with! She was very sweet to our baby (she is a mom herself!) and made sure we all looked good for the photos. Nothing is worse than A sad baby in photos, but she got our kid to engage! I couldn't be happier and I loved showing off our photos! Her website made it super easy to communicate & register for a location and photoshoot time. I will definitely hire Rachel Robertson

I booked a family photo session last month during a trip to Oahu and had such a great experience. My toddler was (understandably) not particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but Rachel was prepared with props and was fun and engaging which made us all feel very comfortable and relaxed. She has an eye for knowing how to photograph people while incorporating the beautiful Hawaiian landscape and sunlight and gave clear directions on where to stand. This resulted in a variety of beautiful posed and candid shots.

Rachel is an amazing photograph! We have now done two family shoot with her and one of just my kids and she was awesome every time. For family shoot she gives suggestions on attire, how to prep children and yourself. Her advice was invaluable! Even my husband who didn't want to take photos, after seeing the results was very pleased and wants to do it again. She will be our Christmas card photographer for many years to come

I've always HATED pics of myself, and even after having a baby I still didn't want professional photos. I've known Rachel for years from the wedding industry, and she kept telling me to take family photos for Christmas. I kept saying NO, until 5 years ago when I finally said YES. Let me tell you - it was the best decision I've ever made. I LOVE having annual pictures of my family, and seeing my daughter grow up. I love my Christmas cards so much, and I'm forever thankful to Rachel for finally convincing me to do this!

I first met Rachel when she was the photographer for a wedding I was assisting with. I loved how easily she worked with our team, the couple, family and the videographer. Three years later I've worked with her on countless weddings and love how she helps the couples to relax and captures them in the most seamless, romantic images.
Last year she took her family photos and was able to get my son and my husband to relax and smile! The direction she gave us all was perfect and the images she captured are admired by everyone who comes to our home.

Rachel has taken our family’s photos for the past 6 years. Her humor and fun spirit help me and my kids to relax around the camera. She is flexible, creative, kind, and professional. You will not regret having Rachel take your family pictures!! We had her take maternity family photos on the beach. Rachel was creative and rose to the challenge of getting the perfect shots of our hyperactive toddler. She makes the best use of her time & has pride in her work to guarantee you will get that perfect shot! We get many compliments especially of the one where she had my husband turn him upside and hold him by his leg like a fish he caught 😆 Adorable! We used these photos for our holiday cards, had a collage metal print made for our wall, print for my dad’s 80th birthday & mugs
