I'm Alyssa or Aly Rae, Photography has been a huge passion of mine for the last 7 years when I stumbled into it! Capturing the candied special moments are my favorite but the sweet posed newborn shots are also to precious so I do both! Life as a single mother of 4 kids and two furbabies (they count as kids in my book) keeps thing interesting and never dull, wouldn't have it any other way!
I have been in Colorado for 5 years now and hope to be here forever as I am a huge fan of all things outdoors! You can find me out on a hike, or biking! One of the reasons my business has done so well I believe is due to my energy and love for children. Being a very outgoing person with high energy helps my sessions feel more like play then work!

Alyssa is hands down my favorite photographer to work with! I am that mom that wants new pictures of my little for every important moment/holiday and she is always my go to. Year after year she creates amazing minis / setups. No 2 are the same. She always edits your photos super fast. I can not count the number of times we have gone to her for photos and never once have been less then amazed with her work. I can not thank her enough for helping us capture so many important memories of our family and little man. She is the best!

Alyssa is fantastic! She has done several sessions for me. My daughter is very shy and it takes a lot for her to get comfortable with someone but Alyssa has always been able to make her feel comfortable enough to the point of laughing. She even helped me juggle my toddler and newborn at our most recent session. She’s always extremely professional and quick with getting my pictures back to me. She’s awesome to work with!!

We have worked with Alyssa twice, once a family session and once for a Christmas mini! Both times she was extremely personal, professional and flexible. She did a great job getting our little one to smile. The turn around time was quick, and the final portraits were beautiful. Both times we ended up buying more images than originally planned because we just loved them so much. I highly recommend ROLP!

Alyssa has done maternity, newborn, mini session and family pictures for my family. They are perfect every time! I highly recommend her for any of these! She is personable, professional, and beyond creative. Her attention to detail is astounding. Her communication is prompt and detailed and her turnover time is more then impressive. I will cherish the memories she’s captured for us forever!

Alyssa has done my family/kids pictures 3 times and I don’t plan on ever going to anyone else. She did my son’s 1st birthday pictures and not only did she meet my expectations she went above and beyond them. I have 4 kids and this by far the best 1st birthday picture experience I’ve had. Not only is she an amazing photographer, she’s also an amazing person. You will no doubt leave your session feeling like you just made a new best friend!

Alyssa is all talent! We've done two mini sessions with her for our son. First, when he was 6 months old and again at 20 months. She quickly overcame his "stranger danger" and even captured our favorite smile of his. He can be a tough crowd but she really knows how to work with kids!!! We plan to continue to use her regularly as our family expands. Would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

So happy I found Rae’s of Light Photography! Her work is amazing and she has the cutest setups, props & outfits. Always works to ensure photos turn out perfect and is very patient with kids. We’ve used her for newborn, family, fall & Chrismas sessions this year and LOVED every single photo. Turn around time is so fast and she is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Alyssa is definitely our go to photographer!
