I've been working with Marina at Epstein Schneider for more than two years on both business and personal taxes. Can't say enough positive things about my experience. Marina was recommended to me by a colleague after I had a terrible experience with another company. Not only did Marina fix the other company's mess ups, but she identified additional opportunities for us to decrease our liability on prior years' tax filings, which netted us nearly $2k on personal taxes that we never would have known about otherwise. Not a very good experience. I engaged with Marina to complete my business taxes and initially it was all good and nice. But as it progressed and I wanted to know when will my taxes will be complete. I got no satisfactory answer except we do it on first-come-first basis. Then I was sent a invoice for payment for retainer which was not mentioned in my contract. I was suppose to pay the full payment once my tax return was complete and submitted. On asking what was the reason I was told thats what the partners want. I would keep away from them and save a whole lot of time and stress going to folks

Look elsewhere for your CPA needs. Ignorant and not professional. Did horrible job on our taxes and had to pay more than 3x what we should have due to mistakes - given to another CPA who was able to amen our previous taxes. The staff there are young kids who are also clueless and quite rude. Beware - for any meeting - be it call, email, personal meeting, text, etc - they will charge you. The extraneous fees are simply ridiculous. The CPA's are not knowledgable.
