Receiving an oral cancer exam and screening is one of the benefits of attending your regular appointments with Dr. Pinney. As part of your exam, we will check your neck and oral tissues for any lumps, white or red patches, and any continually sore areas in your gums and mouth. These screenings are highly beneficial because they help to detect cancer in its earliest stages, when it is easiest to treat it.

Dental cleanings are a necessary part of your dental routine, along with brushing and flossing. It is very important to have your teeth cleaned regularly by a dentist. At your appointment, your teeth will be cleaned in a way that is impossible to do at home. Dr. Pinney is trained to use specialized instruments, such as ultrasonic tools, to effectively remove both calculus and plaque from your teeth.
