I really wanted this to be a good experience, but the owner Kevin took the chance to screw us as people getting our car repaired as out of towners. So would recommend going elsewhere for repairs, especially if you are from out of town.
Kevin's team performed a Wheel Hub Assembly repair on our car and was pleasant to work with at the time. However, it turns out his team installed it incorrectly (overtightening the screws, it happens) resulting in the parts breaking a few thousand miles later when we returned home (out of state).

I took my expedition in for diagnostic. Hoping someone would call me the second day to discuss what was found and how to proceed. By the fourth day they had never once called me to let me know what needed to b done. I ended up telling them what the issue was. Long story short, i was blindsided with a1300$ fuel pump. The expedition still has same issue, nothing fixed. Won't be back, ever.

Had my vehicle towed there then after more than two months got it back it lasted a day and had another non start electrical problem which later was identified by another mechanic as an open ground from the battery cable to the engine. Cartunes said 4 me to tow it back again and told me that I jumped the car backwards originally which I explained I didn't, rather than identifying the ground issue (that was why I had the original problem). Rather than being accommodative he was very evasive the whole time. Note that this place is called Hometown as well.

I had the brakes totally overhauled previously many years ago and because I purchased the truck used, I had nothing to go on, wow was i amased at how good the brakes worked when car tune of butte got done with my truck! This is how the brakes should have worked after the first overhaul, but didn't! They were professional, curtious and timely; i am very pleased.

When my car broke down on I-15 north of Butte, I asked the tow truck driver to take my car to Car Tune. It was after hours when we finally arrived there. They had a drop box for car keys so I left my keys in the box. I called Car Tune the next morning and explained what happened to the car. The folks at Car Tune got right on it. Later, they called me with the details of what needed to be done and an estimate of what it would cost. I gave them the go-ahead to order the necessary parts and get the work done. When it was finished, Car Tune called me and let me know that the car was ready to go, and

We had an issue with the skid guard on our van as we were driving through Butte. We stopped in at Car Tune and they immediately had our car in the air. Not only did they fix it in about 2 minutes, but they didn’t charge us! We sat and played with their pup while we got to know Kevin and the gang. Such a great shop! Such great operators! Butte is lucky to have Car Tune!

My engine fell apart on the drive into Butte and they were able to have a look immediately. They helped me navigate the absolute nightmare of a totaled engine. I cannot express enough how much it means to me to have honest, forthright, straight-shooting mechanics to work with.
Kevin is the man! If I could give this shop 10/5 stars, I would! I'm inclined to drive across the country just to have this crew of outstanding human beings

My son is a Freshman at Montana Tech and I live 120 miles away. His truck broke down on campus and would not start. There was gas in it and it would turn over however it would not start and need to be towed. On Monday, based on Google ratings, I chose to have it towed to Car Tunes in Butte. Excellent customer service! I don't live in town and was interested in purchasing a used vehicle in Butte. Before driving out there, I wanted to have the vehicle inspected by a trustworthy mechanic. I located Cartune via their excellent online reviews. Over the phone, I was able to arrange for the car to be inspected by Kevin. He was very accommodating and even offered to assist in getting the vehicle to and from the local dealership. I first started going to Car Tune in 2004 and have only once gone to another mechanic, to my huge regret. Guy and Kevin are trustworthy experts on foreign and domestic cars.
