I'm a mom of two gorgeous girls and a wife to an amazing man. I've always loved pictures and capturing images as long back as I can remember. I became a more avid enthusiast when I signed up for photography classes while in high school. We used 35mm manual cameras with black and white film and developed our pictures in a darkroom.
Shanna Chess Photography's studio is located in SW Eugene. The studio is about 5 minutes away from W 11th Avenue. The studio is a building towards the back of the property and the floor level of the building is entirely for Shanna Chess Photography. It is approximately 1600 square feet, with 800 square feet of that dedicated to client seating and shooting space.
The following full session fees cover my time and talent only and do not include any digitals, prints or products. Fee is the non-refundable retainer fee to hold your session date. This is for my time and talent only, for up to a 3 hour session, and does NOT include prints, products, or digital images.
Shanna and Kimberly were incredible from start to finish. It was exactly what we were looking for and hoping for! The entire experience was smooth, well planned, and the photos turned out exceptional. Shanna is very professional and attentive to your ideas and desires with the photographs. But rest assured, if you don't know what you want- she can take it from there.

Shanna goes above and beyond to ensure your newborn is comfortable and happy during the photo session. The session itself is like hiring a babysitter for three hours! She directs you in how to prep your baby so she can get great pictures. You get to pick the props, backgrounds and colors so you get unique photos to your taste. Can’t wait to have her do one year pictures!

You won't find a better photographer in the vicinity! If you're like me and you want someone that knows what she's doing where all you have to do is sit back and take a quiz to determine what you're looking for while she does everything else from telling you where and when to be, to how to prepare for picture day, then you need Shanna--she is a newborn PRO and if you follow her directions, your baby will be in deep sleep throughout the whole picture taking process which is exactly what you want! If you prefer to have a little more control, you still need Shanna. She'll make any family pleased to

Update: I received a new photo album. Im pleased my baby’s face is no longer in a crease. It’s the details such that and good customer service that I really appreciate.
I found Shanna Chess photography by chance and was initially impressed by her website and reviews. My baby was already a week old and I was trying to get him booked ASAP with someone. I booked a full newborn session with shanna. The total being $700. I saved for this splurge and thought it was expensive but would be worth it. The day of our newborn session was good, her studio is beautiful and she seemed friendly enough. My

Shanna is a baby whisperer and extremely talented newborn/child photographer (obvious when you check out her Instagram). She is also just great to work with - she has a fun and relaxed personality. I love that she helps you design a gallery wall to display her beautiful work in your home. This will be my new favorite wall in my house for sure.

I loved my experience with Shanna for both photoshoots. She has someone do your hair & makeup for your maternity shoot. I really liked she provided that service. She has her own dresses you can choose from or you can bring your own. She is very easy going & will work with you if you have props or a pose you want. She was awesome with my baby putting him in all the different poses. The photos came out beautifully, it was so hard to choose which ones to print. I highly recommend her! 😊

Shanna was great to work with! she provides all the necessary information and recommendations to make the most of your session. we filled out an online questionnaire she sent about what props and colors we wanted ahead of time so there was no wasted time when we got there. Shanna is sociable and understanding- she was gentle and sweet with our newborn. the facility is immaculate including a TV for those not having pictures taken or between shoots. prices are reasonable compared to other photographers i used in the area previously. i would recommend her to anyone.
