I had a very relaxing massage at Spa Evangeline in Tampa! My husband and I came here on an early Sunday afternoon as part of our anniversary weekend. It was an easy walk to the spa since it was right next to the Epicurean Hotel we were staying. They offered us complimentary wine, champagne or water upon arrival which was a welcomed surprise!
We sat in the relaxation room for a few minutes before our treatments. We scheduled a couples massage so we were led into the same room sit our massages. They did not have the locker room
available for changing or showering (only restrooms ) due to the pandemic

Loved the fact this is close to home! But, the services are just okay. Nothing better than any other small spa around Tampa and definitely not worth the price. Many things are no longer an option “due to covid ” like robes, slippers , shower etc. If you are looking for a high end spa with all the amenities, look elsewhere.

I came here for a couples massage with my girlfriend after spending the weekend in Tampa. The service was top notch and I even got to enjoy a nice bourbon while getting my first pedicure! Everyone here was overly accommodating and Tameka was an absolute pleasure to talk to during our pedicure. I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a relaxing morning or afternoon.

I had a gift card to the spa. At $90, I assumed it would fully cover a gel mani and pedi. I recieved a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. The color options were extremely limited and the pedicure was mediocore. Its been about a week and my heels are already cracking from the build up of dead skin! The gel in my manucire is also lifting and the filing job was jagged so I have a hang nail. When I go to my normal salon, my mani pedi lasts at least 3 weeks and I can usually push it for a month if I really wanted. When I was finished with the appointment, the total was $130!!! The ladies who did our pedicures were great but the chairs were so uncomfortable I could not relax. The chair back stops about mid-back so there's no leaning your head back. I would not return specifically for this reason. For the price, I expected so much more. The experience overall felt like a basic mall spa experience. I would not go back or recommend.

We booked an 80 minute champagne tub & table for two massage on Valentine's Day along woth a room for the evening. The next day, the spa manager Deirdre called to tell us the $415 massage we booked is not being offered on Valentine's Day because of the "time" it takes. I'm sorry is it aa spa or an assembly line?

We went here for a girls day, and were really disappointed. The massages were good, although my friend said her massage lady smelt like cigarettes really badly so that isn't great. Then we got facials and all three of us felt like they were trying to upgrade us the buy additional masks etc, we just wanted to relax so that was definitely annoying. Then we went to get our nails done, it seemed odd that the same girls who did our massages and facials also did our nails....seems like there should be people that are specialized in each category. Full disclosure we booked using a travelzoo coupon so we got a discount. My sister was coming in from LA and she found it. It is normally on the pricier side for a mani/pedi, but it is well worth it for the higher quality and care.
I think they can only do two people at a time because I only saw two manicure and two pedicure stations. This makes for an intimate experience. Before you start they take you to the relaxation room. My husband and I booked a couple's massage for our anniversary. We were looking forward to our stay at the epicurean, but most of all this massage. Arrival and greeting was unexciting. My husband had never been to a spa and wasn't really explained what to do. Massages were mediocre, but the worst part of this experience was that during our massages our therapists phones were going off, they were on vibrate, but still very disturbing and did not allow us to relax and enjoy. :-(

Had a great experience here getting a massage and manicure and pedicure on a Sunday. The nail technicians did a terrific job and were thorough. The massage therapist was good too, but I wish she had asked the level of pressure and/or problem areas. Prior to the visit, I had completed an online questionnaire addressing those questions, but it wasn't clear if the massage therapist had received the information (as I wished for a slightly firmer massage and more focus on my neck.)

My daughter-in-law scheduled a massage for both of us for Mother's Day. She thought we'd be in the same room, but we were separated. I met my masseuse who seemed very nice and made sure I was comfortable. I asked her for a full body Swedish Massage. Surprisingly, she spent at LEAST 50% of my massage on my back alone, repeating the same moves multiple times. On 2 different occasions, when I was face down on the table, my masseuse massaged my shoulder with almost no pressure with about 2 fingers. It appeared she was distracted by something. I had a really great experience at Spa Evangeline. Boyfriend gave me a gift certificate for a spa day and it was lovely.
Overall spa amenities: 3.5
It's not the fanciest spa- the locker room is small, there's only one shower and there is no sauna, steam shower or jacuzzi. The relaxation room where you wait for your services is simple & nice, they had water and some snacks available.

Had the Shower with Love service. It was truly a lovely, relaxing experience.
Began sitting in a calming relaxation room in a comfy robe. Then, my partner and I were brought back to the massage room. The tables were gently heated and comfy. The full body and scalp massage were great.
Then, we were left alone to use the rain shower (two controllers with handheld, large ceiling panel, and a side panel). The side panel was like another gentle massage. They also gave us a caramel coffee shea butter scrub that I loved so much I later purchased in the cute shop.
All in all, it was a wonderful splurge

Unfortunately, their pedicures are not up to par and don't merit the cost vs other options in town. Their set up and chairs are very nice, but my nails were left uneven and not matching lengths. The polish selection leaves a lot to be desired and the polish quality (in my one experience) is streaky. Lasted half a week and then by the end of the week I needed to go somewhere else for another one.
