Advanced Behavioral Health Services is guided by the principle of giving people the best possible service. Our mission is to help people enjoy life to the fullest. Advanced Behavioral Health Services is committed to helping people cope with their behavioral and mental health issues so that they are able to live independently and - if possible - take a proactive stance on their own treatment.
Advanced Behavioral Health Services puts the welfare of their clients first. Our doctors and therapists take time to establish rapport and get to know each patient. Each provider at Advanced Behavioral Health Services operates from the perspective that each client is our partner in treatment. It is the client's response to treatment that determines our success.

Services
Advanced Behavioral Health Services was envisioned as a behavioral therapy, mental health treatment, and counseling facility that wants to empower our clients to take charge of their lives. Advanced Behavioral Health Services wants to make it clear to all our patients that having behavioral issues or coping with mental health conditions don't have to compromise your quality of life.
With the patient/family permission, the evaluation may include information gathered through interviews with, or reports from, teachers, pediatricians, caseworkers, counselors, and other healthcare professionals who have played a key role in the patient's life. Assessments are typically conducted over multiple weekly sessions.
What is a Psychiatrist? A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders. People seek psychiatric help for many reasons. The problems can be sudden, such as a panic attack, frightening hallucinations, thoughts of suicide, or hearing "voices."

Initially surprised at the negative reviews, until I considered the inherent reality that more people tend to write negative rather than positive or neutral reviews. I have nothing negative to say about this place whatsoever. Dr. Ndrio and his staff could not possibly be more professional & efficient, and the personal touch and time provided by the doctors and PAs are unrivaled - and I've been seeing psychiatrists/psychologists/counselors for 30+ years. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who 1) needs mental health attention, and 2) anyone with treatment-resistant depression (as I do

The Psychiatrist that I see there is GREAT, but the desk staff really need some serious assistance. EVERY time I call, even before COVID, they don't even answer, I just get put straight on hold, and I sit and wait and wait and wait and wait. There have been many times where I have had to hang up and call back MULTIPLE times just to get someone to actually speak to me. And the real kicker is when I was in the office, they were literally NEVER too busy to answer a call. They were usually sitting around chatting. So there really is no reason that patients should be on hold for 45 minutes before they

Office is very difficult to work with especially with prescription refills. They would rather have people go w week without med, you know the meds they tell you NOT to stop taking because it's dangerous, than to refill a prescription, that the pharmacy sent to them over a week ago. Having the Dr. call me to yell at me that I missed an appointment definitely reflects on how this practice is run. Which is what I'm going to do, run away from this office to work with a Dr. who has a much better attitude.

Unfortunately, I've had to go to this office for years (insurance, etc.). I refuse to deal with the main doctor, because of his misogynistic approach. However the PAs are absolutely wonderful in this office and that's why I'm still there. My kid had to be hospitalized, unfortunately, and upon release it took me literally 7 hours to get the right meds sent to the right pharmacy (Naperville not Livingston, NJ). Just like having a child home first day from a mental health ward wasn't challenging enough, I had to deal with this nonsense.. Ugh.

The office needs to be reminded/called multiple times to get someone to actually refill a prescription. Medications guaranteed by receptionists to be available the next day will still not be ready for pick-up multiple days later.
The receptionists are largely disinterested. I've been hung up on multiple times.
It ends up being patients' responsibility to constantly remind staff of things they've been asked to do. Any medication-related matters will take multiple phone calls to resolve.
It's standard and expected at this office for Ndrio to be significantly late to each appointment. He also is

I highly recommend this service. I have worked with them on and off for years based on my needs. They are extremely helpful when I reach out, and my team is AMAZING. I've had many therapists throughout my life, and finally found one that not only provides me with quintessential help but ensures my mental health is covered by the team. Danielle as a PA-C truly cares and devotes her interest and time in you that is different from the norm of a psychiatrist in a positive way. The front desk and everyone I've dealt with is always positive and easy to work with.

My son started going here while in high school. He asked to increase his therapy sessions with Shanna because he felt they were helping. He has consistently been seeing her for almost two years, and I can tell that they seem to help him. He is also under a physician assistant to monitor his medications. They work together to tweak his meds, so having everyone under one office is helpful. My only concern would be that we often have to contact them lately to have refills, etc; but he has a new PA as his late one had moved. So I am cutting her slack till we get more consistent visits, etc.
