We know you have many choices when choosing a pediatric dentist so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible. In the event that poor weather conditions result in the delay and closing of BOTH Yorktown County and Newport News Public Schools, we will also be delayed or closed.
A pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school dedicated solely to the protection of oral health for children from infancy through the teenage years. Very young, pre-teen, and teenage patients often need different approaches in gaining their cooperation, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems.

It was our 4 year old son’s first dentist experience, and the staff and Dr David could not have been better. It was a group effort to help our son through his fear. The office it self was great as well. Very bright, and I loved how they have 5 tables in one large area for cleanings so my son could watch other kids get their teeth cleaned. And an added Benny was they have TVs mounted to the ceiling so when the kids are laying down getting their cleaning they can be distracted by watching a movie. Highly recommend

My son had a general anesthesia dental surgery today and we are so thankful that it was Dr David that was here with us and fixed his teeth… he totally puts our mind at ease about the procedure and explains to us in the simplest way possible how things went, procedure that’s done and after surgery measures… I will be recommending Dr David to all family with young ones I know and will definitely trust him all three of my kids dental health… Thank you Dr David and his wonderful and super friendly team!!! Our family loves you guys

We just had our first visit and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere is so welcoming and calming. My son felt instantly comfortable due to the bright and cheery decor and staff. He has severe anxiety and the assistant put his mind at ease by explaining every step. They have lots of activities and a movie playing to keep kids distracted and entertained while waiting, however the wait was not long at all. We were in and out for our initial visit in under an hour. Dr. David was so great with him and he even got to pick out a prize. I am so glad we ended up coming here and will definitely be back!

This place is awesome! From the fun colorful atmosphere to the amazing staff, it’s the best dental experience I have ever seen. The staff make your child feel like they are important & are in a caring environment. My 7 yo was never scared once even when more dental work was needed. My 16 mo’s first dentist visit was in a smaller quiet room and the staff was so gentle with her. The open concept exam spaces and high tech procedure room are state of the art. Most of all they are parent and child friendly.

I love this office! You’ll leave feeling like a million bucks, I’m talking to you parents. The staff is so accommodating and helpful and just showers us with (undeserved!) praise when we come in there, just about the kids or you name it. I’m not sure how the doctor has done such a great job finding so many people with such sweet hearts to work at his office, but he has! I really do appreciate y’all and so do my children. Dr. Herce is funny, wonderful with children, a Dad himself and very knowledgeable! Thank you for a nice visit today!!!

I took my 3 year old daughter here for the first time and it was a wonderful experience! We didn’t have to wait long before we were called back. Once we got to the back they had a nice chair that was already laid back and my daughter could still watch the movie on the ceiling, which kept her entertained while they checked her teeth. The technician and the doctor as well as the front staff were all very friendly :) after her check up she even got a little toy! Definitely recommend this dentist!

This was my 3 years old second visit to the dentist and she did great. Everybody was very nice. The dental assistant explained everything she was doing to my daughter. She even put on cool glasses to do the cleaning. My daughter was a little bit scare with the sound of the machine but the assistant was very patient with her and it ended up being a great visit. Quicker than I thought it would be. Very nice staff, very clean and will definitely recommend it.

What a wonderful place to bring your child or children. When you first walk in, you can feel the Joy and Energy that's in this place. The customer sevice is beyond a 5 here. When your child is called back, the services are still beyond 5. When I say the customer service is amazing. It's!!! My daughter was so comfortable around everyone. This was her 1st time here. I do recommend this place to everyone with kids.
With this being our new normal, the children are unable to physically grab their surprise. Overall, please try them out. They are very perfessional, knowledge, and alerts the surroundings

I literally cannot even leave the parking lot without making sure I leave a perfect review! This place is beyond amazing, I’m seriously in shock. I have never felt so welcomed and comfortable and my boys loved literally every second. All the ladies of the office are fantastic and so sweet. Dr. Herce is friendly and open and extremely knowledgeable but still fun! He even played drums with my son! We will be back and NEVER go anywhere else!
