My mother and i been coming for years but after our experience this year with him and his son. We will no longer use them. They dont call you back to explain anything. They've given us the run around. Weve been back and forth with them for 3 months snd still no taxes. Smh.

I highly recommend Arauz & Co for all your tax needs! I've been going to Memo for the past few years now and he is fantastic! He makes the process look so simple and easy. And honestly, he makes it seem so easy that last year I tried to do my own taxes...I ended up filing completely wrong and needed to do a correction.

Guillermo Arauz has done our taxes the last two years, and it's been a great experience both times. The first year, my wife and I went to him after Turbotax showed us owing a crazy-high tax bill. Arauz was able to reduce that bill, and while we still owed money, he was so thorough he noticed that we hadn't been getting a homestead exemption on our Cook County property taxes for years-- so we got a $2,000 payment for being overcharged by the county, and will save about $500/yr from now on. He also looked over our paystubs to give us advice to reduce our tax bill for the following year

I've been using Turbotax for a few years now and I went to do it this year and wan't happy with what I was getting back. So I looked on yelp for a place that is close by. While Arauz only had two reviews, they were both good so I figured I'd take a chance. Very happy that I did. My return is much more than I expected, and Guillermo did a great job in understanding my specific issues (I bought a home this past year). Marie was also fantastic in helping me coordinate. Great place. Plus they're small and family owned so if you live in the neighborhood like I am, you're helping
