A licensed Real Estate agent who also holds membership with a North American real estate tradesmen association, primarily located in USA, called, NAR, National Association of REALTORS, and state associations such as VAR, Vermont Association of REALTORS and similar with each state, and then local membership as well, such as Rutland County Board of REALTORS.
There are more designations for Commercial Agents as well as others for Residential agents. The above seem to be the most prevalent. However, if your agent does not display any designations after their name, it is likely that they do not possess them. These Designations and Certifications are hard fought for and well deserved when earned, so a REALTOR would be proud to display them.
